  • @jedamac they are a delicacy to eat.

  • i dont get how no one has commented about lake TITI CACA i mean come on

  • Indeed they have @isk8erboi ... but as owner of the video I choose to not publish such comments since - having been to the region, benefited from the hospitality, met the people and enjoyed immensely my time there - I find such immature humour offensive. Just because the name of the Lake (when broken down) resembles some American slang, doesn't make it appropriate. I've been lucky enough to have travelled to many countries - why should I allow immature comments to be against my video memories?

  • Wow. This looks like an amazing and moving kind of vacation. I would love to do this sometime? How did manage to obtain them as a host family? Hope you had an amazing time. This is my kind of holiday.

  • Lonely Planet has lists of agencies in Puno who can organise this. Or if you want someone to do everything: GAdventures (formerly GAP) or Tucan. Alternatively just get to Puno and take it from there (which is what we did in 2006). More recent advice on how to do it independently is on their thorn tree website search "Stay overnight on Taquile Island, Lake Titicaca" It really is very straightforward. I'm sure you will love it and I wish it was as easy to do it in other parts of the world.

  • Fantastic Video! Brings back memories of when I was there!

  • At 12,500 feet in elevation, Lake Titicaca is the world's highest navigable lake.

  • Wnderful people. I love everythink away from stupid consumerism. ¡¡¡VIVA LA RAZA PURA!!!

  • What a pleasant collage..

  • Great Video! I Wish I Could Go Around The World Too! =) You Are So Lucky! I Bet It Was Expensive To Travel But Worth Ever Pennie. Did You Go To Puma Punka As Well?

  • @Chris7771369 You're right - worth every penny! No we didn't make it to Puma Punka. Is that somewhere you would recommend?

  • thumbs up is you watched this because titicaca is a funny name

  • @joker666dead, no offense intended when I posted what I said before. The problem is that Titicaca is not a Spanish name. It is Runa Simi, the real language of my country, Perú.

  • huevada

  • is so beautiful, one of the many reasons why I am proud to be Peruvian. Come to Peru, the only risk is wanting to stay haha

  • wat

  • Thanks Kathy and Sharon for posting this slideshow of your well-taken holiday pictures. Nice music too. Much appreciated after seeing the depressing news in the informative AlJazeera vid of L.Titicaca.

  • Muy impresionante este videooO!! que hermosoo que es mi Perú!!!

y bueno al tema del que estan hablando bueno no importa bolivia era del Perú hasta que llego bolivar y los separó en 2 Bolivia y Perú

  • This video is amazing!

  • What a superb video, fantastic photos, something you can remember the rest of your life. Lovely!

  • Awesome music. Fits the scenery perfectly.

  • what is the name of this song, please?

  • Now that's absolutely fantastic! Beautiful pictures, too, :) but what struck me most is the fact that four years ago when I travelled Peru I stayed at Luise and Antonios (who owns a boat, doesn't he?I think they have 3 sons and 1 daughter) on Amantani island...their house looked very different back then. (if it is their house in the background) I love it when it clicks like this. :) Bon Voyage to you, if you're still travelling. As if life wasn't a journey.:) Have a beautiful day. Many Thanks.

  • @Tlustei How lovely - they were lovely hosts. Sadly we are no longer travelling every day - but make sure we travel at least three times a year :)

  • Beautiful!

  • This video made me smile. It was beautifully done.

I am looking to take my friend to Peru for a month for his birthday june 2009.

We will be ariving at Lima, going the Cusco, then Machu Picchu, Amazon Rainforest and Lake Titicaka.

These kinds of videos just make me feel even more positive this is going to be the most amazing experience of my life and my friends!

    Thank you.

  • wow, simply wow

  • Hye men dime de donde sacaste la canciones???

  • Muchos gracias. Muy bonita.

  • Muchas gracias por el video esta muy hermoso. saludos desde puno Peru, y los Uros son Peruanos y no bolivianos como quieren hacer creer...

  • anyone can tell me the music , porfavor

  • I'm sorry, I can't :-(

  • @erictjie KNOWING THESE TWO GALS ON YOU TUBE..

.ITS PROBABLY KATHY ON THE DAMN FLUTE

SHE LEARN TO PLAY ALONG THE WAY! lol

  • @AKQJ40 If only I was to talented!

  • @erictjie i know the name of the song

  • Nice touristic video, but the ethnia of the Uros disapear in Peru many years ago. The Name of the former UROS is only used for make money. Nobody in and out of Peru want to tell the truth. The people yo see are aymaras. The border between Aymara and Quechua culture is near Puno. And there are no other ethnias in Puno exept tourists.

  • I think you should be very sure, before you say that.I'm telling you this 'cause,I have relatives and they are UROS and they can trace their generations many years back,We livein teh USA many years ago and proud of my heritage,so please don't say that because it's a offense.Thank you and God may bless you.

  • could you tell me the title of the music and the cd album please. thanks

  • awesome views and music !!!

  • kathy and sharon i just love your video clip. Can you please let me know the CD you use for this video? THANKS.

  • excellent excellent !!!

  • who ever name this lake "TI-TI CA-CA" is a pervert....

  • That's really not true.

Although she is also known as "Mama Kocha", or "the Mother Lake", most people know her by the name Lake Titicaca, a Spanish corruption of the "Aymaran Titi Karka", which means "Stone-Colored Puma" or "Rock Puma", allegedly because of its resemblance to the shape of a puma hunting a rabbit, combining words from the local languages Quechua and Aymara, and as well as translated as "Crag of Lead."

  • @Authoritahhh you're ignorant

  • awesome Titicaca!!! thanks for posting this video!!!

  • excellent real robust insight into your oroject, respects to you and your team, well done!

  • Happy New Year
