  • sucks because i bite my nails, so all my strings sound like bass

  • i love how the alzapua and the rumba pattern sound :X

  • wow, those are nice nails. Wish I could get such a perfect set.

I keep breaking them when they get long enough, damn it!

  • I want to vomit

  • i dont have long nails and i can play this good

  • Dude each time i make my nails tall its brake with guitar dont know why even i got fake nails and the same thing brake how i can play without brake my nails :(

  • Crappy advertisement

  • great lesson! I'm looking for a new style to learn.

  • Don't you have issues with such a long nails, like thin sound.....

  • @yoheff988 as a classical guitar player, i have always had problems with super long nails, the "best" tone that you can get is a mixture between the flesh and nail.

This seems to be working for him though, between you and I though, I hate the tone that long nails seem to give. Edgar Cruz for example. lol

  • @G33TarDed Well, Flamenco tone is not Classical tone. Even the guitars are different. A guitar with long sustain will just turn the rasgueados into mud. He gets the Flamenco tone no problem with nails this long. Flamenco is not Classical (and that's a good thing). I dare to say they go in opposite directions.

  • scary nails! :-/

  • i love ur lesson !

  • wow those nails are scary

  • @mbgltichcore They don't need to be that long. That's just his preference.

  • It's a very interested video, thanks

  • The finger hits between the flesh and nail, any other way is to inaccurate when it comes to tonal quality and reliability.

Some people like them really long for some reason, but if you look at most guitarists we're talking and extra millimeter or two outside of the finger; not some witch apparel.

Same here, his thumb and pinky nail are long but the rest aren't (in relation).

  • steel strings will tear your hands apart, plus u get that tone with nylons, that plucky tone that can be dried up by the bridge into some arid vista, ole!

  • i just went to a nail salon place to get nails like these cause i always bite mine off... the nails are super convient for guitar but suck for trying to type on the computer haha

  • it's really good but seeing long nails like that bugs me! i'd never be able to have those. this guy must be very dedicated to guitar.

  • From what I understand you cannot use regular steel acoustic strings on a nylon string guitar because the steel strings will warp the neck. Which is why you have to use nylon strings. I think it has to do with the fact that there is no truss rod in the neck on most nylong string guitars, and thus you cannot make the adjustments required to compensate for the difference of the steel string. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

  • i would buy this but yeah... looks real good though... if anyone is interested in learning rasgueado techniques he looks like he knows what he is talking about

  • Do not use steel string. Buy string dedicated to flamenco.

  • Awesome teacher and flamenco guitarist. Bravo and Ole!

  • this guy seems to me like a great player, a great teacher and a cool dude

  • Gracias for this fabtastic lesson maestro

  • finally some thing that breaks things down properly! awsome. Thank you!!
