That bit about US Airways and American telling their employees not to go through the scanners definitely makes me feel better about always asking for the pat down, I don't feel quite as paranoid now.
Every opportunity to lower your exposure to ANY kind of radiation (EMF spectrum) WILL lower your risk for cell mutations (cancer) and I'm all about that. I'll take hand up my crotch any day over chemotherapy!
Doesn't it stand to reason that if you could take control of a plane with a fingernail clipper you could do it without it? Oh, geez. They're going put us in handcuffs next.
Also: Italy has removed their strip search machines because they're inefficient, and take up too much time. At a cost of $100,000 each, they've found that bomb sniffing dogs are not only cheaper at $12-$15,000 each, but more effective, and of course very well arguably safer as there is no radiation risk from the canines.
Radiation won't hurt you, you act like your sunbathing under it.You act like your the most beautiful person on earth and every security guard wants to oogle at you. I mean seriously the best way to stop yourself from burning your hand on the stove is to not put your hand on there to begin with.shut up,get in line, and ride the damn plane.

What about domestic flights? As long as you are flying within the United States, all of the security measures in every single airport are the same ever since the TSA banned the option to choose private screeners. And the amount of radiation you receive from a full body scan IS less than what you would receive on a flight. Actually, it is 89,000 times lower than the safe annual dose. The TSA officials aren't out to get your jollies. They are doing what they are told to avert possible crises.
@RandumJunkies - so just because they are doing what they are told that makes it OK? NOT - maybe you should read a little history - you know about the Nazi's.
Seriously America? I know It's a sad place to be with all the unnecessary control of the people but if you really wanna prevent these sort of things you ought to re-think again.
If you need that security then get some proper bomb dogs already. Theres no need for radiation/child molestation and/or Touching private areas (It's even against everything you stand for...)
I'm fine with TSA. Say what you want, they do have good intentions, and does work by making us safer. It's the individual employees that mess up. Plus I've heard that the radiation from these scanners are minuscule compared to the amount of radiation you are exposed to when actually on a plane.
Found the solution! Ban guns, force the police to OBEY citizens when they demand security/defense, and remove any right they have to lie, use fear, intimidation, threats or anything to turn you against yourself and arrest you. In fact, it should even be illegal for them to touch you except on the hands or if you're not cooperating.
They can't, because every company and mob/crime syndicate will threaten government officials/politicians to vote against this.
thanks to the TSA my American Science And Engineering stock price went up, I made a few thousands with that :) and I'm sure everyone in the TSA got they share too. if you work for the government if you don't spend it you lose it.
I for one am ok with the searches. The TSA agent doesn't have any reason to be aroused (or whatever) by touching my body and I am no different than any other passenger. I don't think it's a waste of time.
Now Meagan's law applies to our local airports. Just as a community should be informed about a sex offender moving into their community, we should inform passengers molesters are in the airports.

Once again I like your show but frankly that was a HUGE mistake I had to correct :)
The problem is that americans think they can prevent anything, which is 1) impossible 2) the precautions taken take away great portion of people's freedom.
Let's say an incident happens somewhere in US or in the world. Americans will respond in a super anxious preventive system. Even if the chance of incident happening is one to zillion. They'll rather harass zillion people than to risk life of a one. It may sound harsh - but it's not worth it.
@itube612 An absurd example : An italian guy boards on plane in Rome and flies to London. During the flight he fats and 2 people get poisioned. Americans will respond within a month, and would force every passenger to get a fartometer stuck on anus, wait for the fart, so it can be measured. While europeans simply evaluate the probability of the risk and say it's irrational to implements any checks for this purpose.
@Kerberoz01 I stand corrected Ker. Of course I wouldn't want to ridicule those who don't get hysteric at the slightest opportunity but solely those, who do. Using one's brain is nowaday a rare ability - while most people choose the lazy and convenient way to agree and follow. And this goes far beyond the borders of United States.
@Zambini845 , I've read the law. In fact I still have a pdf copy of SB1070 on my desktop. The liberal tantrum about it was political nonsense. The vast majority of people were in favor of it and other states are still trying to adopt something similar. When using a humorous comparison as in this video, given its anti-stupid gov't angle, using an example that goes against public opinion and is the position (on AZ) of the "more gov't" crowd was lame and misplaced.
@1kings1918 You say "a vast majority of Americans" support it. I would hardly say 51% approval over 39% is vast majority, especially with a 10% no opinion, and probably a margin of error around 3 or 4 percent. Not to mention that using any one poll in an argument is ridiculous. There are other polls that say a much larger disparity toward both ways.
Not to mention that more people believed it violated civil rights (by relatively the same number who supported it).
"Those who sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither."
-Benjamin Franklin
Pretty well known quote, but I think people need to sit down and think about it for a while before they say its OK for the TSA to violate your rights.
Benjamin Franklin wanted to live in an independent nation. Anyone who actually stops to think about the origins and meanings of life understands that no one "deserves" anything.
@HaleFire7 Especially since the TSA doesn't actually provide security, but only give the government something to say "look we are doing something to protect you". It's security theater, not actual security. That just makes it worse....
Who gives a fuck!?! They can jack me off and swallow the gravy! If that gives me a .0001 % to not get fucked on an airplane by the long dick of the terrorests (maybe short(probably short)) then go for gold! The only people that should care are people that have something to hide. (All the guys with the small dicks?) Just had to say my 2 cents
@Hooleey have you had a cavidy search? what if your child is being searched? did you want your 7 year old girl to have her virgin pussy lips spread as they search her cracks for... well i don't know what they are looking for there.
If you want safety, i assume you don't drive then and use public transportation, as that is safer also.
@Hooleey Well, there was the 7 year old boy who got a body cavity search. So too far? who is going too far? You have no control over the situation when this happens, they take you away. Do you read the stories of the people who get searched? the lips spread is taken from a lady who complained about being search, giving details and yes, they check that crack. That is why they are saying it feels like being groped, and many people say it is going too far.
the xrays are the airline's answer to the passenger rights people have been wanting for decades.
"You want reasonable service? You actually want water while we make you wait hours for your flight? Get in the cancer line and don't make us make this worse on you"
@ZebraWah do you know how awesome your airplane ride would be...SOOO COMFY. I did sweat pants and socks in flip flops and a pretty comfy sweatshirt. TSA guy yelled at my cousin for not helping me and told me I look comfy.
Sky marshals are another useless safety precaution that we don't need. I can't remember where I heard it (probably a podcast) but I recall hearing that the only people to ever be arrested while a sky marshal was on board was when the sky marshals themselves got arrested. Plus the sear number of flights and passengers versus number of sky marshals is ridiculous.
Nice video. I agree completely and can you believe all these trolls on this thread? It amazes me that people will argue for these scanners. They don't make you safer, period. So, why have them?
TO THOSE WHO COMMENT AT ME. I am getting a ton of comments and can't answer them all. Please visit my channel for a video response. I am not sure WhatYouOughtToKnow will approve my video response.
I think its funny you get a fine if you refuse. Its almost like they are saying "it costs us alot of money to scan you. So if you refuse we will take it another way." Anyone else get that? HILARIOUS.....isnt it?
The T.S.A. is a representation of our fear of death. Death is a part of life and it does not matter how many things we do Terrorists will always get through and remind use that death cant be stopped. We need to remember that Its better to die on your feet than live on your knees, Also let's be honest when a terrorist is a white guy shooting up the mall no one cares but when its a minority the politicians need votes and white fear gets ass in the booth.
@howtotruckdriver101 Crazy white guy shooting people at the mall wouldn't be such a problem if malls werent gun-free zones.
This is ultimately the age-old question: how much control are you willing to give government ? How much liberty will you sacrifice for (pretend)security ?
If they find one its all worth it! Do you think maybe people don't bring bombs because they know they will be caught? Maybe that's why they don't find them.
THINK. a 5 second scan or a chance 200 people will die in a plane crash. hmmm whats your priority?
You know if the plane went down you'd probably be the first one to whine about that too.
@CMrace I was talking to garylee9966, trying to get him to back up his assumption that it's either give up our 4th amendment rights or get our planes blown up. The reality is that Israel has been securing their planes for many years through good old fashioned police-work, not with intrusive pat-downs and X-ray scanners. We don't need this invasive crap to be safe and Americans oughta wake up and start insisting on our constitutional rights.
@garylee9966 yes, okay... except the terrorists who have been caught since 9/11 have been caught with the security we already have... Why "improve" what doesn't need improving?
@garylee9966 Would you rather have a colonoscopy every day or run the risk to not get diagnosed with possible colon cancer as soon as possible? Bombarding everyone with radiation or touching their junk is in no way proportional to the miniscule risk of a terrorist not getting caught by conventional security measures, even if those procedures were actually proven to have any effect on security whatsoever. Which they are not. It's just a pointless procedure justified by an overblown terror threat.
@garylee9966 More people die every four or five days driving then people who die in plane crashes all year. I'm going to assume you drive or ride the bus or take walks near roads at least five times ever year. You just took a similar risk right there. Plus if some one was willing to kill themselves to take down a plane what's to stop them from swallowing some C4 and the necessary tools in a balloon? You can't stop some one if they are motivated enough. False sense of security.
@CMrace For people who make similar statements, you need to know that some TSA agents do try to humiliate people. When you've payed for a ticket & you are just trying to get to point b, there is little you are going to do for the sake of a huge inconvenience and they take advantage of that. The TSA might as well be hiring people right out of junior high. They aren't all good people. Those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither. It's a matter of self-respect & the 4th amendment.
Oh please. So what gives them the right to search your bags or put video cameras in the airport? I don't see your outrage about those "freedom violations". You are on private ground boarding a private plane. You paid for the service and the conditions that go with it.
If you went though the scanners you wouldn't need a pat down.
If your self respect is destroyed by walking though a scanner whats that say about you?
Your self-respect is not more important than others lives!
@CMrace You are part of the Sheeple. Congratulations. What Rosa Parks did by not moving to the back of the bus was against the law too. Not giving up her seat to a white man was against the law. She was arrested, and the courts found that the law itself was illegal and unconstitutional.
What the government is doing now is illegal. You have the right to travel and the the right to be secure in your person.
Radiation from a scanner is very small. It doesn't even penetrate your skin.
For example: flying across Atlantic ocean exposes you to much greater radiation (radiation frem space and sun). And if you are a frequent flyer (more than 10 times a year) you just might get over the safe radiation exposure. Just by flying.
@Sn0wtheMaN What do you know? I work in the radiation field. Radiation physics is my specialty. Is it yours? Backscatter radiation is the dirtiest most dangerous kind. Why do radiologists and x-ray techs wear lead aprons...backscatter. Why does it require a physicians order to get an x-ray? Danger. But most probably, the most danger that we have as Americans is the loss of the right to be secure in our person against unreasonable search...4th amendment...read it. We lose that? Slavery.
@philais Yes it is. I study physics. I'm not saying those scanners are harmless its just that you're going on an airplane. Your already getting much more radiation by flying. This are low energy x-rays. TSA scanners have nothing to do with those x-ray scanners in hospitals. Those are much more dangeorus, couse they are high energy x-rays.
I'm not saying I agree with what TSA is doing. But on the other hand - I'm not the one who's paing them. I live thousands of miles away from US.
Don't be a child. You're a radiation physics specialist and you call x-rays "the dirtiest and most dangerous kind" Nice technical detail there. Your profile really distinguishes your expertise in this field. Read the wiki first you fool.
You chose to buy a ticket from a private company, so you agreed to the conditions. The 4rth amendment applies to the government, not services you willingly purchase from private companies.
Your insecurity is not more important than others lives!
Sorry for the error, Rev. Dr. philais Phd esquire III. There's a 500 char limit and wasn't room for the word back-skatter.
Your post is a distraction from the fact that you just lied about being a radiation physics specialist.
You even posted something else at me about Rosa parks. Like I care what a liar like you thinks. Do you have your masters degree in history too you lying sack?
No I don't think I waste any more of my time replying to a boring lying distraction like you.

Let's say an incident happens somewhere in US or in the world. Americans will respond in a super anxious preventive system. Even if the chance of incident happening is one to zillion. They'll rather harass zillion people than to risk life of a one. It may sound harsh - but it's not worth it.
itube612 1 year ago
@itube612 An absurd example : An italian guy boards on plane in Rome and flies to London. During the flight he fats and 2 people get poisioned. Americans will respond within a month, and would force every passenger to get a fartometer stuck on anus, wait for the fart, so it can be measured. While europeans simply evaluate the probability of the risk and say it's irrational to implements any checks for this purpose.
itube612 1 year ago
@itube612 you're confusing Americans (the entire citizenry) with Amurr'kins (the slight majority who are complete imbeciles)

Overall a reall good video. The remark about Arizona and Mexicans was lame and misplaced, but otherwise a good video.
1kings1918 1 year ago
@1kings1918 I thought it was perfectly fitting, considering that was an equally bullshit law.
Zambini845 1 year ago 2
@Zambini845 , I've read the law. In fact I still have a pdf copy of SB1070 on my desktop. The liberal tantrum about it was political nonsense. The vast majority of people were in favor of it and other states are still trying to adopt something similar. When using a humorous comparison as in this video, given its anti-stupid gov't angle, using an example that goes against public opinion and is the position (on AZ) of the "more gov't" crowd was lame and misplaced.
1kings1918 1 year ago
@1kings1918 so, pulling someone over based on absolutely nothing at all is okay? Good to know you're on the right side.
Zambini845 1 year ago
@Zambini845 , Please inform yourself. Actual bill is here -> azleg DOT gov/legtext/49leg/2r/bills/sb1070s DOT pdf
"FOR ANY LAWFUL CONTACT..."
"A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL... OF THIS STATE MAY NOT SOLELY CONSIDER RACE, COLOR OR NATIONAL ORIGIN..."
"A PERSON IS PRESUMED TO NOT BE AN ALIEN WHO IS UNLAWFULLY PRESENT IN THE UNITED STATES IF THE PERSON PROVIDES TO THE LAW
ENFORCEMENT OFFICER... A VALID ARIZONA DRIVER LICENSE...", etc.
It's only 17 pages. Think critically.
1kings1918 1 year ago
@1kings1918 You say "a vast majority of Americans" support it. I would hardly say 51% approval over 39% is vast majority, especially with a 10% no opinion, and probably a margin of error around 3 or 4 percent. Not to mention that using any one poll in an argument is ridiculous. There are other polls that say a much larger disparity toward both ways.
Not to mention that more people believed it violated civil rights (by relatively the same number who supported it).

Hooleey 1 year ago
@Hooleey Well, there was the 7 year old boy who got a body cavity search. So too far? who is going too far? You have no control over the situation when this happens, they take you away. Do you read the stories of the people who get searched? the lips spread is taken from a lady who complained about being search, giving details and yes, they check that crack. That is why they are saying it feels like being groped, and many people say it is going too far.

The T.S.A. is a representation of our fear of death. Death is a part of life and it does not matter how many things we do Terrorists will always get through and remind use that death cant be stopped. We need to remember that Its better to die on your feet than live on your knees, Also let's be honest when a terrorist is a white guy shooting up the mall no one cares but when its a minority the politicians need votes and white fear gets ass in the booth.
howtotruckdriver101 1 year ago

CMrace 1 year ago
@CMrace What more would a scan do?
As you said, people don't bring bombs because they know they will be caught.
So the safety measures that are already in place do a good enough job.
The scan is just an extra hassle that causes a large debate over something that doesn't even make anyone any safer.
In fact, maybe the hassle over the scans in the security lines would let a bomb slip through security!
GameDroid98 1 year ago
@CMrace I was talking to garylee9966, trying to get him to back up his assumption that it's either give up our 4th amendment rights or get our planes blown up. The reality is that Israel has been securing their planes for many years through good old fashioned police-work, not with intrusive pat-downs and X-ray scanners. We don't need this invasive crap to be safe and Americans oughta wake up and start insisting on our constitutional rights.
Deckard439984r 1 year ago
@Deckard439984r
These things do not impinge on your 4th amendment rights. How do you explain how they can legally search your bags?
See my video at my channel for a detailed description of law and other dissenting arguments.

@garylee9966 yes, okay... except the terrorists who have been caught since 9/11 have been caught with the security we already have... Why "improve" what doesn't need improving?
TheBarz08 1 year ago
@garylee9966 Would you rather have a colonoscopy every day or run the risk to not get diagnosed with possible colon cancer as soon as possible? Bombarding everyone with radiation or touching their junk is in no way proportional to the miniscule risk of a terrorist not getting caught by conventional security measures, even if those procedures were actually proven to have any effect on security whatsoever. Which they are not. It's just a pointless procedure justified by an overblown terror threat.
Dickking666 1 year ago
@Dickking666 Hell all those X-rays are going to GIVE you that colon cancer. I'd hate to have a job that requires a lot of flying right now.
bluefire4000 1 year ago

It's a matter of self-respect & the 4th amendment.
dualisticnature 1 year ago
@dualisticnature
CMrace 1 year ago
@CMrace You are part of the Sheeple. Congratulations. What Rosa Parks did by not moving to the back of the bus was against the law too. Not giving up her seat to a white man was against the law. She was arrested, and the courts found that the law itself was illegal and unconstitutional.
What the government is doing now is illegal. You have the right to travel and the the right to be secure in your person.
Ask yourself...What would Rosa Parks do?
philais 1 year ago
Radiation from a scanner is very small. It doesn't even penetrate your skin.
For example: flying across Atlantic ocean exposes you to much greater radiation (radiation frem space and sun). And if you are a frequent flyer (more than 10 times a year) you just might get over the safe radiation exposure. Just by flying.
Sn0wtheMaN 1 year ago
@Sn0wtheMaN What do you know? I work in the radiation field. Radiation physics is my specialty. Is it yours? Backscatter radiation is the dirtiest most dangerous kind. Why do radiologists and x-ray techs wear lead aprons...backscatter. Why does it require a physicians order to get an x-ray? Danger. But most probably, the most danger that we have as Americans is the loss of the right to be secure in our person against unreasonable search...4th amendment...read it. We lose that? Slavery.
philais 1 year ago
@philais Yes it is. I study physics. I'm not saying those scanners are harmless its just that you're going on an airplane. Your already getting much more radiation by flying. This are low energy x-rays. TSA scanners have nothing to do with those x-ray scanners in hospitals. Those are much more dangeorus, couse they are high energy x-rays.
I'm not saying I agree with what TSA is doing. But on the other hand - I'm not the one who's paing them. I live thousands of miles away from US.
Sn0wtheMaN 1 year ago
@philais
