these puppet theives are rejected by iran and iranians.. As faar as im concerned they are a closed chapter in our history..!
Long live Islamic REPUBLIC IRAN and republic Democracy.. this interview is a dissgrace, farah is claiming revoloution happened because of communists not being happy., these people are still hiding there genocide and the fact that almost 99% iranians opposed there brutality..
My answer to (Bfreeordie) is: Iran and Iranian problem is not your business so shut up and don't say anything please. Long live Farah and shahanshah Reza Pahlavi II.
I am also amazed that no one mentioned that Alberto Gonazales the former BUSH Attorney General was a former ENRON lawyer. Gonzales worked for Vinson & Elkins in Houston on the ENRON account and was so successful in circumventing regulators that Lay recommended him for appointment to the Texas Supreme Court to his good friend, then Gov. BUSH.
ALL this is HIGHLY superficial. The crimes of Ken Lay at ENRON began in 1985 and MANY were very serious. Such as Valhalla and Peru and the ESOP "borrowing", ALL happened before Skilling or Fastow worked.

ztog, I have spoken to couple of people who have recently come back from Iran (Tehran) to be more specific. They tell me things are bad but not as bad as it is conveyed in the Iranian media in U.S. They have both expressed a culture of corruption in Tehran from top to bottom, that everybody is on the take, you cannot get anything done unless you bribe the officials which goes back to the people who are corrupt or forced to be by economic necessities.

Iran's future is going to be in the hands of Mullahs which is really a Mafia organization guised as a religion and cannot stand or tolerate competition to its rule and power for an unseen-able future. The people of Iran have been defanged and castrated, so there will not be a mass uprising against the Mafia. The nominal rivals are Mojahedeen who blew their chance from the start. The next group are the fans of Monarchy which likewise had it and lost it. what else is left I ask you.
Bfreeordie, I am probably a little more optimistic than you (or more naive) but the possibilities for Iran are unknown. In any event, I think we should stop constantly looking for who's left. Iranians are left and they will eventually sort out their shit. It'll take time. But that's easy for me to say sitting here miles away.
I've read this book. Although, she seems to be quite a down-to-earth and sympathetic figure, she still can't being herself to write that her husband was a military dictator that suppressed all opposition no matter how mild. She is also dilusional if she thinks that monarchy has a chance, even if Iranians are up to here with the current morons.
Great woman.
