you dumb ass, you can't compare an M3 to a regular G35, lol. Infiniti doesn't make a version of an "M series" or an "amg" series, for example. You'd have to test it agains just a normal 335i
It seems you need to do a little more research. The "s" models don't have a modified or upgraded engine...The main appeal to the "s" package is appearance...usually different rims, paddle shifters, chrome accents on the peddles, rear spoiler and a slightly tuned suspension...The engine output in the "M" models for the 335i have a significant increase in hp and torque from the common 335i. Thus, it is an incomparable match. It would need to be the G35/37 VS the 335i.
Furthermore, we would need to make sure the year/models are comparable. Both BMW and Infiniti dramatically increased the power of each car with the recent model changes (occurring in 2007 models). While its obvious (based on the body style) that the BMW is a prior model to the '07 upgrade, we have no idea what year the infiniti is.
335i is twin turbo'ed, it still isn't a fair fight against the G37. The G37 has a torque advantage so it may be faster out of turns, but once the road straightens out the 335i will probably run away with it.

Now if your life is primitive and solely based on being fast, sure.. the Supra's a great car but lets face it, its dated. Some of us don't care about that anymore cause there's more important things.

I guess you're right. However, it would be much closer than this race. Basically a driver's race. The one that can truly keep up with this M3 is an 07+ 350Z. It has the best power to weight ratio out of all of them. 24hp less, but also 400lbs lighter.
lol take 10-15 grand to fully mod the G (still probably at least 10k cheaper than the M3) and i think this vid would turn out alittle differently, you get what you pay for... germans just charge more for it :)

You are right. The nature of N/A engines is true. There's not much you can do to get more torque out of these engines. I had an Integra R that was putting out over 200whp but the torque peak was around 7900rpm with a 9.5k redline. I didn't see a lot of torque till 4700 and thats when it started building up to the peak. Speed is right too though. F1 engines are made to rev to a limit of 19k. Their torque curve begins around 11k rpm and peak around 17k. F1 engines are 2.4 liter V8's.
You have no idea about racing engines. It is a race-bred high-revving engine like an F1 racing car that has a flat torque curve uptil 8000 rpm and aggressive gearing and has a 0-60 in 4.8 secs 1/4 mile in 13.3 secs. That is why it kicks the sh*t out of several V8 cars like Mustang GTs.
How can a person compare a world class sports car like the M3 to a bottomfeeding V6 shitstang? am i the only one that see's a problem with that comparison? and as far as this video goes, its evident who the assumed winner would be...and its funny how everybody is trying to run out the M3 and ruin what it stands for. Wideopen, it's a 6 speed manual. I heard about SMG problems and with BMW's repair tab being so outrageous, i stuck with the manual. To be honest, i've raced that G35 several times as friendly pulls and the 8k redline becomes more evident as the real advantage.

First off, maybe you or one of your friends paid a little too much for their M3. I paid $50k. I know damn well a G isn't $25k. Second, what does money have to do with this? This video compares the performance aspects of 2 sport/luxury coupes with a similar engine size (3.2 vs 3.5 liter). I'm not so sure that price matters. People are willing to spend more money for something better (at least on the performance side). BMW 3.2 > Nissan 3.5.
Well depending what year and mileage you get, it could be. Not uncommon to see G35s going for 25k with low miles and a nice system. I'd take the G over most bimmers, simply cuz everyone around here seems to have a BMW. I love my 05 G
um first of all you OBVIOUSLY never bought an new m3. As ALL m3 owners know M's have the worst lease/finance deals. There is no way u can get a new M for only 50k, matter fact its 56k starting and we all know its around 15 grand for it to be fully loaded. Plus tax and APR the new m3 is about 83,500 in NY. My friend got his G37S for 41,000 after taxes and apr. SO yes it is twice the price.

The new v8 m3 is done. I think people would rather buy the new Skyline GT-R for about 5-10k more and have a wonderful Daily Driver. AWD so it'll be no problem for winter and you wont get all that tire spin and you'll get a nice twin turbo v6 engine making about 450hp!

Why are you bringing price into it? At the end of the day, you' drive a 30k car. I drive a 60k car. This is not about price. both cars were within my price range. A stock normally aspirated VQ35 motor doesnt get much power gain from bolt-ons(ie intake and exhaust). Therefore its same as stock.

R&T Magazine test for '08 Pontiac G8 GT shows 1/4 mile time of 13.5 sec ET 104.9 Mph. MT Magazine test for '02 E46 M3 Coupe 1/4 mile shows 13.2 sec ET 106.9 Mph. G8 GT is fast but most likely the M3 would still win. Now if you had the 415hp/415lb-ft G8 GXP... ;-)

I guess you're right. However, it would be much closer than this race. Basically a driver's race. The one that can truly keep up with this M3 is an 07+ 350Z. It has the best power to weight ratio out of all of them. 24hp less, but also 400lbs lighter.

You are right. The nature of N/A engines is true. There's not much you can do to get more torque out of these engines. I had an Integra R that was putting out over 200whp but the torque peak was around 7900rpm with a 9.5k redline. I didn't see a lot of torque till 4700 and thats when it started building up to the peak. Speed is right too though. F1 engines are made to rev to a limit of 19k. Their torque curve begins around 11k rpm and peak around 17k. F1 engines are 2.4 liter V8's.

You have no idea about racing engines. It is a race-bred high-revving engine like an F1 racing car that has a flat torque curve uptil 8000 rpm and aggressive gearing and has a 0-60 in 4.8 secs 1/4 mile in 13.3 secs. That is why it kicks the sh*t out of several V8 cars like Mustang GTs.

Err, yes it's a skyline, and no, there's nothing wrong with it. They are pretty quick stock.
An R34 wouldn't be much quicker, if at all, from a roll. It's even heavier and the awd drag hurts it.

Wideopen, it's a 6 speed manual. I heard about SMG problems and with BMW's repair tab being so outrageous, i stuck with the manual. To be honest, i've raced that G35 several times as friendly pulls and the 8k redline becomes more evident as the real advantage.

First off, maybe you or one of your friends paid a little too much for their M3. I paid $50k. I know damn well a G isn't $25k. Second, what does money have to do with this? This video compares the performance aspects of 2 sport/luxury coupes with a similar engine size (3.2 vs 3.5 liter). I'm not so sure that price matters. People are willing to spend more money for something better (at least on the performance side). BMW 3.2 > Nissan 3.5.

Well depending what year and mileage you get, it could be. Not uncommon to see G35s going for 25k with low miles and a nice system. I'd take the G over most bimmers, simply cuz everyone around here seems to have a BMW. I love my 05 G

um first of all you OBVIOUSLY never bought an new m3. As ALL m3 owners know M's have the worst lease/finance deals. There is no way u can get a new M for only 50k, matter fact its 56k starting and we all know its around 15 grand for it to be fully loaded. Plus tax and APR the new m3 is about 83,500 in NY. My friend got his G37S for 41,000 after taxes and apr. SO yes it is twice the price.

The new v8 m3 is done. I think people would rather buy the new Skyline GT-R for about 5-10k more and have a wonderful Daily Driver. AWD so it'll be no problem for winter and you wont get all that tire spin and you'll get a nice twin turbo v6 engine making about 450hp!
