Connect To Xbox Live Through A PC internet connection

i have a question i have a router and a modem how can i go on xbox live and and internet on my computer do i need 3 ethernet cords? i have one on my router and thats hooked up to my tower. do i have to take it out the tower into the modem then i take a nother cord put it in the modem then hook it up to tower and then last one i hook to modem and put it to xbox?

I did it with a desktop, Do I have to connect the xbox and the computer in anyway physically.? I just did all of that and tested my connection and it didnt connect. I have the xbox 360 slim that gets wireless internet without the router, but I dont have wireless inter... just wired. So Please I dont know what went wrong.

You made me realize something.

I have looked around for a vid to show me the reasons behind bridging connections.

The problem I found myself is that I was "SHARING CONNECTION THE ENTRE TIME!!!"

This lead to a problem, so I removed the shared connection; which I'm supposed to have because it's how you connect, well IT DOESN'T.

In doing so, not being shared, I did what you said, bridged connections, it worked.

But before, when I bridged while one of my networks were shared, it came up with bs.

i do but i dont have a ps2 i got a 360 for christmas but most ps2's you just shove the ethernet cable into the back of your pc and then the other ini your modem/router or whatever and the games that you can play online usually give you the choice of the main menu in the game like mortal kombat armegeddon for instance and its totally free so dont worry about payments
