Are you sure that is the CZ. I think that its the Chief because the CZ never has three locos; the Chief does.

I just saw the CZ here passing through Davis California four days ago with three P-42's at the head. Dunno the exact reason, as the CZ only had two when I traveled on her in February, except that maybe one is going for overhaul or is on an equipment move. The later may be more accurate as the Coast Starlight resumed full operations on May 6th (last Tuesday,) thus they need the locos out west again.

Thats' odd, there is no extra freight on the end. There usually is 2 or 3 boxcars..
