Please don't spread lies. Ubuntu has _nothing_ to do with OLPC at all. OLPC uses a quite different system. Ubuntu has nothing to do with education. It's a system for business and personal use. Edubuntu and DebianEdu are used in schools all over the world, but those are specialized versions.

I love my Mac. I only have a 1.42GHz G4 Mac mini, but I love it and OSX. I can't wait to get a Macbook Pro. I have a Sony VGN-A49GP 17" VAIO which I payed megabucks for for an x86 related contract I had. I would have rather spent that many on a Mac. Oh well, next time.

I spend a lot of time in OpenBSD and love it. Have done for about 8 years now. OpenBSD for my servers, firewalls and some desktop work and OSX for the every day stuff.

Unix was one of the first operating systems that reached outside of just the development centre (bell labs) and spread acroos the world. that ws in the late 60's and 70's, long before jobs or gates even thought about making their own line of computers.
