  • i saw this episode 2 weeks ago. i just watched the second episode of season 4 and had a mix between laughter and crying when i saw Rose again

  • WHO PUT THESE FREAKIN' ONIONS HERE?!?

  • I finished season 2 just two days ago and it left me so emotionally distraught that I was SHAKING. No fandom of any kind has left me in such a state. Why the hell am I putting myself through this?

  • Why am I watching this again, now I can't stop crying. Gets me everytime.

  • SEND HELP! I CAN'T HOLD ALL THESE FEELS!

  • They're soulmates

  • When they we're filming just Billie (Rose) crying, David was waiting right off set and he looked so sad to see her crying even if it was acting. rehkgfjdknm that made me cry too.

  • So, what did he say to her when he whispers in her ear? Did he say "I love you"?

  • SPOILER ALERT: THEY SEE EACH OTHER AGAIN AFTER THIS!

  • This kills every single piece of my heart....

  • Great scene, Doctor Who is a great show. I just started watching the series around this time last year.

  • Every time she's mentioned in any episode I watch or re watch. I come and watch this video. I don't know why, it kills me every time.

  • I just watched it today...

It was worse than all kind of physical pain...

WHY THE HELL I'M WATCHING THIS AGAIN?!

  • I held it in up until he cried. Then I lost it.

  • When she says ''Will i ever see you again?'' breaks my heart :'(

  • I cried and I haven't even watched Doctor Who yet.

  • rose and the octor are the perfect match :), this scene is so beautiful, the tears started streaming when rose dad took her through the wall...if rose got sent to a paralell universe but where did the daleks and cybermen? they too got sucked in

  • @reece798able No the Daleks and the cyberman weren't sent to the parallel universe. Rose and her dad never got sucked in. Her dad saved Rose right before she got sucked in.

  • "I'm in orbit around a supernova, I'm burning up a sun just to say goodbye" - I know this is nerdy as anything else but I can't help but feel that its a great quote.

  • I'M CRYING SO MUCH RIGHT NOW.

  • I cry every time.

  • I think that "Quite right too" is almost a good a reaction to being told "I love you" as Han Solo's "I know" from Star Wars.

  • about 3 years ago when I saw this scene the first time I cried for three weeks on the couch and ate nothing but babyback ribs and potato salad... it still causes me to cry, and now I have a hankering for ribs, too boot

  • BEST SHOW EVER. I bawl my eyes out still. Burning up a whole sun just to say goodbye...

He was completely and unequivocally going to say "I love you,"

  • @newchick14 No! I think he did say it. It's just nobody but him heard it. That was my take anyway.

  • so sad when they mess up a great show like this, stopped watching after this.

  • I've watched this episode so many times now, I actually don't cry anymore. I've ruined it for myself!!! =(

  • wahhhhhhh... T_T

  • Quite right too -/3

  • They way she stumbles across her words while she's crying ,especially when she says "I love you", adds SO much to the effect. I cry every time I watch this. ROSE TYLER <3

  • The most epic DW scene :( I always cry on this.

  • "I'm burning up a sun just to say goodbye" :'( <3

  • i love but hate this clip im so glad she actually comes back

  • Which episode is this? I need to know.

I cried too, is it embarassing?

  • @Ithorhun It's Doomsday, last episode of Season 2.

  • @Ithorhun Its called Doomsday.Session 2 episode 13

Don't worry,a lot of people cried.

  • This and Adric's death are the two top Doctor Who moments that made me cry.

  • so sick of this bitch and her moaning ruined s 2 completely

  • They aren't speaking proper American!

  • It looks like doctor cryd a little but rose just spit in his face lol... Weird but he's a hologram... Ummmm better think of better jokes :-l

  • This scene made me a Doctor Who fan. I wanted more. So much more. Been a Whovian 5 years now, and I've never looked back.

  • I went to that beach scattered my girlfriends ashes there

  • Crying :(

  • What are these tears on my face

  • Back when Doctor Who was good.

  • I almost cried..

  • must not cry, oh gosh my eyes are leaking , oh no im sobbing now

  • why must i cry every time? WHY?

  • I don't think there will ever be a day when I watch Doomsday without crying

  • I'm going to this beach! It's really called Southerndown beach, it's in wales. And can someone PLEASE tell me the name of the track in this scene! I know it's a mix between The Impossible Planet, The Lone Dalek and Rose's theme, but I don't know the rest, and is there a video with the whole track somewhere?

  • Saddest 5 mins of doctorwho

  • Was this seriously 5 years ago!!! The pain still makes it feel like yesterday!!

  • Bawling my eyes out. DOCTOR WHYY. JUST THREE MORE WORDS. I've never cried so hard at anything before.

  • i can't stop crying

  • i was crying my head off at this scene! and i still am :'(

  • @ZOMBI3SHYZA I put it down to the power of superb acting by both David and Billie.

  • Does anyone know the song being played in the background?

  • This pissed me off. I didnt want rose to leave. Martha was alright and donna was annoying.

  • I keep watching this hoping it will end differently.

    It never does.

    TTT-TTT

  • *sobs uncontrollably* :'(

  • I cry every time! :'( so sad

  • I watched this last night and I never cried so hard over a show in my life. Then I just rolled up in a ball for another hour.

  • @MissSaniro I just watched it now and had the same reaction. Never cried so much at TV before.

  • This made me cry... again.

  • AND SO MATT SMITH WAS BORN!

  • it's 2012 and this still has the ability to make me break down in tears.

  • I cried my eyes out when this was in tv

  • rose:i've been in the doctors pants

donna: oh yeah right, how would you know?

    rose: they use gallifrey technology

    donna: as in?

rose: they're bigger on the inside.

  • I'm a new doctor who fan, and i just watched this for the first time last night. I don't remember the last time i cried so hard. thinking about watching season three makes me sad. how can it be doctor who without Rose Tyler?

  • I love amy pond but rose tyler is my favorite companion so far

  • After this I couldn't bear to watch series 3...watched the first couple & then stopped because I missed Rose..but started again couple of weeks later..then I gradually grew on Martha & Donna(Rose still no1)..Then 10 left. Didn't like 11 at the beginning..thought of stopping but persisted..Now I love Matt & the rest..Heck I thought I'd hate 10 when 9 left...But I think thats how Doctor who works..your favourites will leave..but in time you'll learn to love the new ones.

    Thats my Doctor Who story.

  • SOBBING.

  • After this his companions are all Not Rose to me.

  • he cuts out...right before he tells her... *cries*

  • Damn you, dramatic pauses; he could've had time to say it! T-T

  • they should have made a parallel universe torchwood spinoff...

  • Star crossed lovers....T^T

  • I Cried like a mad person... but she did get the BEST present EVER in the history of companions!!! Doctor <3 Rose T.T

  • Anyone wonna offer me their shoulder?

    :'(

  • MY

    CREYZ.

  • CRIED MY EYES OUT

  • 2012 and im still crying my heart out

  • @liltaza07 Still crying? :-)

  • I...I'm not physically able to watch this without crying. IT'S SO SADDDDDD.

  • I can't watch this without crying! D":

  • EVERY. TIME.

  • Crying

  • I was 9 or 10 when this epsiode first aired and I really shipped doctor 10/rose before I even knew what shipping was.

4 or 5 years later I still bawl like a baby whenever I see this scene.

  • The only reason I disliked this video is because it depresses me so much :'(

  • ALL THE TEARS.

  • NOT CRYING NOT CRYING NOT CRYING NOT CRYING

    OH GODDAMNIT

  • ACTUALLY SOBBING

  • This part made me cry for like, the next 3 months.

  • Love this scene but the fact that his hair is blowing in the wind when he's supposed to be in the TARDIS always annoys me!!!!!

I cry absolutely every time. Blimey

  • Norway <33

  • Rose tyler... Hate tht part its too sad!!!! 

  • Anyone else cry during this scene? I just did...

  • One of the saddest things ever :'( crying again

  • I could not stop crying after I saw this. Saddest thing I've ever seen.

  • I love Rose AND River, and I think that the Doctor loves them both, but in very different ways. Rose brought hope and joy into his life when he needed it most and she can never be replaced. However, River and the Doctor also went through a lot together and their unfallable devotion to each other and the sexual tension between them makes that romance just as enjoyable and even more hilarious to watch.

  • he loves ROSE not river :(

  • @bollywoodfangirl He loved that Rose loved him, that's not the same as true love. Granted I don't think he and River's relationship is exactly true love either (he married her just to put time back on track), but it's a better relationship than rebound Rose and her chavy overemotional "clingyness" was

  • They absolutely belong together.

  • I saw this scene earlier today, and later, while on the internet, wondered... does Guile's theme go with this? Yes, it does.

  • For Heaven's sake, they're totally different. Rose was Ten's love, River is Eleven's. They're completely different Doctors with different love interests. Can you stop hating on her just because you wanted Rose and the Doctor to always be together?

  • @CommanderEivlys My friend totally loves Rose and River as love interests but the problem is the Doctor is the same man. It's not that each regeneration has different feelings towards people - he's always the same man. And that same man loves Rose Tyler.

  • @XxXfiredancerXxX Then he got over her. I mean, he's 900 years old. Yes, it hurt losing her, but at least he was good enough to leave her live her life with a version of himself that could offer her EVERYTHING. He couldn't. It was horrible, but he had to learn to live without her. And then he fell in love with River. In a way, His regeneration helped him to move on.

Now please stop hating on a character just because she's not part of your OTP. Rose suited Ten, River suits 11.

  • @CommanderEivlys I have nothing against River. In fact she's one of my favourite characters. Don't assume I'm 'hating' because I said I don't like River and 11 together. The point of River is that she doesn't need 11 to be a BAMF. I'm saying I don't think River and the Doctor should be together because I don't like their dynamic, that's the point. To me, River doesn't suit him. Rose suits him to me and that doesn't take away from River as a character. So stop whining about OTPs.

  • @XxXfiredancerXxX I dont think they work together, in fact I'm hoping there will be a day where River's time with the Doctor runs out, and the Doctor's next companion becomes a love interest, I have to say I think the Doctor and Christina (Planet of the Dead) would work well together

  • @CommanderEivlys They're not completely different Doctors, it's all the same doctor, just different appearance and personality, he keeps his memories and feelings.

  • That made me so sad T_T Rose and the Doctor FTW

  • This is the most heartbreaking scene in the whole of television.

  • D:"Two universes would collapse."

    R:"So?"

  • this scene breaks my heart every single time I watch it.

  • Billie Piper is such a great actress

Several years ago i got to see her in the stage play 'Treats'. In the penultimate scene she has to turn on the water works. Doing this night after night must have been so tiring. I had the privilege of meeting her after the show in a pub near the theatre & shared a drink & a chat with her & the cast. (Kris Marshal, Lawrence Fox (Yes, this is how they met. They were an item by then & clearly loved up)) She was very friendly & lovely to chat to.

  • one of the most tragic scenes I've ever seen

  • Annnnd.... I'm balling. Again. Why did I watch this? I KNEW this was going to happen... Now my family thinks I'm a weirdo. Ah well... :'(

  • It's been 5 years and I'm still crying over the fact that Billie left. That's me.

  • @patitatitatitatitona me too :(

  • @patitatitatitatitona Yeah same here - I watched it with friends when I was about 7 or something and I remeber yelling at the tv "You have a sonic screwdriver , You have a brain why dont you use them" I was crying so hard she was my favourite companion , he wasmy fave doctor, I still love them both <3 100% each

  • 2011 and I still bawl like a baby T_T

  • I never cry over tv.. and I sob every time i see this..

  • The 10th doctor really ended up a tragic character. There wasnt a happy end for any of the characters. Which is a brilliant twist.

  • so sad :(

  • I have never cried at films and shows but on this ending I cried like a baby. Its so sad :'(

  • what does the doctor say at 3:30?

  • @voldemortinthetardis He says "Quite Right, Too."

  • I'm new in the fandom. I started watching this show two months ago and it's already become part of me. I just watched this episode today and I cried so hard... I don't think it's fair. He couldn't reply back, they'll never see each other again... it's tragic.

  • Saddest scene in the history of television.

  • i admit it... i cried

  • @peprshaka well duh... who could resist? i just just finished this episode 2 minutes ago :'(

  • This was the worst day in my fangirl life like ever

  • Crying Ten/Rose flavored tears - FOREVER.

  • I need a bucket for my crying.

  • This scene always makes me cry! I hate it! But love it at the same time.. :'( they are perfect for each others!!

  • I closed my bedroom door so I could cry alone.

  • Everything is this ship and everything hurts.

  • Oh my gosh, when I first saw this, I was crying so hard! ("Doomsday" definitely ranks right up there with Stargate SG1's "Meridian" on my list of episodes I refuse to watch again because they always make me cry!) This ending is so tragic! All I wanted to do was give Rose a hug and mourn with her.

  • What does he say at 3:31? Can't understand it...

  • @McBabyRocks Quite Right, Too. (:

  • @AlwaysAPotterhead Thank you very much. :)

  • @McBabyRocks No problem.

    :)

  • SHIP ALL THE SHIPS!!!!!

  • *forever crying*

  • I SCREAMED AT THE TV AT THE PART WHERE HE FADED. OMG!!!!

  • HE SHOULD'VE SAID IT EVEN AFTER THE TRANSMISSION CUT OFF!! I HATE HIM FOR NOT SAYING IT IN JOURNEY'S END!!!

  • I absolutely HATE River Song!!! The Doctor's one true love will ALWAYS be Rose!!!!!!

  • @TheHPExperiment The Doctor's one true love is Susan's grandmother, the mother of his children, his wife that he lost on Gallifrey many years ago. Rose was a rebound

  • ROSE i miss you!...and so does the doctor! and don't worry he loves you too!...this scene breaks my heart every time

  • Man they were really in love. This ending breaks my heart
