Very nice! I literally have the exact same argon laser head... down to the fan and the placement of the stickers... weird. From that I gather its a Cyonics (Uniphase) SL 488nm. Mine is also rated for 160mW @ 450-515nm and made by NLC. From what I can see you have anywhere from 40mW - 80mW ENJOY!

From DVD writers. You can find diffraction grating (tiny glass about 2mm diameter) just in front of laser diodes.

That's crazy bright!! How many milliwatts (or watts?) is that?! And I suppose seeing those designs on the wall is more impressive in real life since since the camera makes it flicker a bit (like in your X-ray video)?
