they are my two favorite artists out there right now. their personalities differ in this: Mayer is out there trying to prove a point, and trying to expand his horizons. musically, he is one of the most soulful guitarists performing right now. he has a good voice. Mraz, in contrast, has been in the same place musically for ten years, and is perfectly comfortable there. his soul comes out plainly in his voice, anyone can hear that.
