  • Awesome!

  • love the pedal steel lick at the end. twang is sooooo good

  • hey im a guitarist, and pretty good for my age, im self taught and play mainly rock music but i love country and have decided to get really into it, watching this has both influenced me to want to do it more and has worried me as to how hard it looks, because obviously, as a rock guitarist i am used to using hammer ons and pull offs, the question to ask myself is weather i can get used to picking every note. but many thanks for this inspiring clip, chris

  • you can totally see where steve morse gets his influence

  • You should use more compression don't ya think? LOL. Your tone sucks.

  • @capitalismforme your jealosy sucks. go wank on some rock or blues guy. you prob are not fit to string this mans guitar. flat picking rock wanker

  • hey that was very nice! I'm new to the chicken pickin, I just recentle bought a couple of teles and now i'm hooked. i was a blues plaer for 23 years, now all i pick is country...haha! check out my vids

  • watching this made me smile :)

  • i like your playing :D

  • Hey! great chicken picking man! I just wondered which video software you used to make this video. I use corel videostudio to make my guitarvideos, but that program won't allow me to overdub audio. so I'm not able to record video with solo over a backing track

  • Hmm, great country playng. Sound needs work indeed though. It lacks thickness. Listen to the hellecasters or Brent Mason to give you some pointers.

    Hat tip 2U.

  • Your right.Dont know why people were spamming.

  • tx dude, don't understand it either. I thought I kept it nice and friendly. Ah well, maybe it's the language barrier for some ppl....

  • Your playing is great man.

  • great playing !!!

but next time: more mids, less compression ;-)

  • shame about the guitar tone you got a middle and bass tone too..

  • Compressor has sucked about every ounce of tone that you might have had. A good player wouldn't rely so heavily on the compressor.

  • dpeaver3951- do I sense a bit of jealousy there?

  • NO jealousy here. That is one horrible tone. Sounds like maybe a cs3 compressor. But whatever it is too too much compression. Very thin non dynamic sound. I was at the sameplace many years ago but through experience no how to get a good tone.

  • When you compress that much you take all the charcteristics out of the tone. I play a Dr Z stangray and I want to hear the character of the amp and my fingers. Although I do have a Keeley it is used sparingly and even when used sustain is way down. This guy has good chops but the compression is a dependence to hide sloppy.

  • I do agree that there is way too much compression on that tone, as I play and listen to a lot of country guitar. It was just the way dpeaver came accross- "A good player wouldn't.....". -I think this guy is a very good player, and dpeaver should of made his point in a less offensive way. I do agree with you though guitarman, he should aim for a more natural tone.

  • Yes he's got great chops. Compressor is a hard effect to get away from. Your playing will be a little sloppy as you learn to ween from depending on it. This guy has good technique and it would be worth it. Of course if you don't have a good amp a compressor can be a good way of hiding that to. I probably would still use it on a cheap solid state.

  • so i guess you are famous because of your tone then-right? not

  • All sounds good to me LONG LIVE THE COMPRESSOR!

  • damn good job!!!

  • waaaa

  • good stuff

    :D

  • Nice one! Could you upload some more telecaster country picking videos?

  • very tastful clip,i wanted more lol

  • Awsome stuff. Is there a dvd you recommend for this style? Would like to home school myself.

  • Hot pickin!! Nice axe! I enjoy it ;)

  • Could You send some tabs to me on this one??:D:D:D

  • Sometimes ya just gotta twang!

    Well dun

  • Complimenti davvero!

  • Great Playing! If I could play that, but only with chorus and comp. I would use the FX all day long. ROCK ON.

  • bella chitarra!

  • great!

  • very good

  • dude, that´s amazing man!!!

  • Are you a professional musician?

  • dude, great technique, just work on the tone. Country pickers rarely use chorus and you are way over compressing. Choking some of the notes out. Good job though!

  • Nice stuff indeed! Agree with the other comment, less "modified" sound would make it even better.

  • dude that was some seriously awesome playin

  • good technique, but you gotta lose the chorus and cut the compressor back...

  • Good playing, although I would have preferred it with no chorus, and less compressor.

My tele looks just like yours, by the way, since I added a pearl pickguard.

  • Very Nice ,well excuted , I 'd Like to learn This ! If you have it written out it will save , Thanks AVner Strauss

  • yeah man

  • your amazing dude!!!

  • bloody hell, mad guitar playing. Damn good.

  • Wow, great pickin'! Nice sparkly tone you got there, you can really hear the chorus effect. What kind of tele are you playing there and through what kind of amp?

    Awesome stuff man!

    Cheers

  • Nice bike!

    Nice landscape!

    Great guitar pickin' and sound!

Too bad I don't like tele's that much. When I play them they sound too thin to me.

  • Very good picking son. Couldn't do it myself if I practised for 10 years. Prima werk! Greetz from the Netherlands

  • very nice
