  • I hadn't noticed before that Becker stays on C on "without a bite", providing an interesting dissonance with the D major melody, before resolving.

  • very cool, thanks

  • nice job.

  • Good job! You're showing the patience this song needs, which is mainly quarter notes.

    A couple thoughts:

    1. I find that using a strap positions the bass in the best place. Setting on one knee or the other limits your movement.

    2. Playing closer to the bridge lessens the string "flab" and works for faster songs. Try cutting in half the distance between the neck pickup to the bridge, for quicker tempos like this.

  • That voice must be coming out of a stereo, because that's Steely Dan's voice. Unless that's Steely Dan himself...

  • steely dan is a band name it accualy means a bonner but w/e the lead singers name is donald fagen and hes the one singing

  • Steely Dan was actaully the name of a dildo in the book 'Naked Lunch' by William Burroughs.

  • Listen to the song again, I believe the bass stays in C under the D7 chord but you're following the change which sounds wrong. Also, consider another fret choice as you're sliding around too much making the groove suffer a bit. Great song!

  • Yeah, you're right it stays on a C. Thanks for the critique.

  • Beautiful! Great song too...

  • y r u sooo good
