  • this is great music played by a great artist

  • Wow! This is one song that brings me back to my younger days..I can listen to this song over and over again. My first slow dance music....I loved it then and love it now. How I still get goose bumps whenever I listen to this song.

  • I WONDER, DID FLOYD SINGLE HANDEDLY CREATE THIS SLIDE SOUND OR HAVE OTHERS DONE THIS BEFORE HIM. I CANT RECALL. ALL I KNOW IS HE IS A PURE MASTER AND WHAT A FINE SONG

  • Finally! I found this song, i ask my mother she rememberd it!

    Greetings from the Netherlands

    Customer Reviews:

This guitar is outstanding for this price range. I am rating it a 4 as there could have been a touch better quality control. After receiving this I had to tighten a few things and the neck nut was one of them and this is important with a Floyd Rose. If you want closer action, the neck will probably need setup by your local guitar ...

  • Amazing song. I grew up listening to Floyd Cramer along with all the other great legends. Would love to see someone bring back the good sound of country music, they just don't do it today like they used to.

  • i love this song

  • This brings me back to my Nani's kitchen when I was little and we would dance over and over to this song....sweet sweet memories for me.......I absolutely LOVE it!!!!

  • This recording evokes such a striking mental image of a time and place, and, I suspect, does so for a generation or two. Those my age and older will understand.

  • Beautiful!!!!!

  • This Reminds me of my Grandpa, i used to sit on his lap when i was a baby listening to this song while drinking Coffee with him, im 23 now, and am still drinking Coffee to this, but i have to do it without my Grandpa. I miss You Pa.

  • So simple yet so beautiful

  • It was also my dad's favorite song. I lost him 1 year ago. It's a wonderful song, but it makes me sad.

  • I loved this song as a kid. I always thought it was the most beautiful piano playing ever. I still do 50 years later. This brings back great memories. thanks for posting.

  • cant be beat! love me some Floyd Cramer.....makes me miss my dad.

  • Great song! Big one at dance class when I was in 7th grade. All the girls wore white gloves.

  • This brings back many memories of when I was a young soldier in Germany in 1960, sitting in the NAAFI with lots of great mates, sadly some of them are no longer with us, I remember you all boys, what a great bunch you were

  • Really nice, easy going music! Makes you back track to a more simple time.

  • This will never go out of fashion

  • My late hubby loved this one. When we were driveing & this came on - he would reach over & turn it up & hold my hand. Needless to say I love listening to this.

  • Never get tired of this one. Great piece.

  • when I was a little boy, 5 yrs. old, my parents would allow me to listen to the radio before falling asleep, this song the last date was eched in my brain. My family was living in Leadville CO. in the middle sixties. I told myself I will remember this great soft and haunting song for the rest of my life. And still today, when I hear this song, I close my eyes and it brings back to 1966. You will always be remembered Floyd. Thanks

  • @webbtailoring I am with you on that

  • Floyd hit #2 in Billboard, 11-28-60. Sometime later, Conway Twitty added lyrics to it. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! RIP, Floyd and Conway.

  • Bravo!Jamais j'aurais pensé retrouver cette musique dont je ne connaissais que l'air mais pas le titre ni même le nom de l'interprète;je n'avais pas entendu cette musique depuis 47ans!!!!C'est vraiment une bonne surprise.Merci.

  • Always loved this piece.

  • makes me want to grab my man and just slow dance in the kitchen!!

  • My dad love this song! he said that i gonna learn it on piano but it is to difficulty!

    Sry for bad english

  • This was our wedding dance, and a favorite song of my Dad's. Both the marriage and my Dad are gone, but this tune evokes great, happy memories every time I hear it!

  • @lisakcrall1 There are lyrics.. you should read them...

  • @RainDance4550 I prefer it without though lol.

  • @ShroudedFury I understand that, ShroudedFury

  • Both are gone but your life is not and that is all that matters =-)

  • @ShroudedFury Thank you for your comment, it is very true!!! Needed that perspective!

  • Well i'm sure you're a wonderful person and if you were gone so many people would miss you. I sometimes think the same way myself but then i know that people would miss me and that it just isn't worth it because i know i am an intelligent, funny, caring and loving person. So why waste all of that?

  • Oh, and ROLL TIDE ROLL

  • Several people have set lyrics to this song and several singers have recorded it. Only Emmylou Harris comes close to the original in my opinion, singing lyrics by Conway Twitty. Two very talented people and mostly they proved that this song is _supposed_ to be a Floyd Cramer instrumental.

  • @WillInNewHaven Emmylou Harris is singing the "answering," lyrics to Conway Twitty's version, from the girl's point of view. So, either male or female can lay claim to the words.

  • Excellent song...

  • Favorite song from childhood.

  • Awesome

  • This song always takes me back to a happy place and time. Thank you ever so much for sharing it.

  • @LinusLacombe Agree.

  • One of the great instrumentals from those golden Top 40 times. Just tugs at the heartstrings.

  • Still come back to hear this from time to time. What a beautiful song! Thanks so much.

  • this is the song I'm going to use when my daughter gets married and we dance our dance,my mother would hum this song when i was very young thanks for posting it.

  • This song will always have a most special place in my heart. My soulmate and I danced to this song under the stars in one of the most romantic places on earth.

  • I lost my dad 12 years ago. I went to see him today to put an American flag on his grave and talk to him a while. I still miss the hell out of him and my mom.

  • @RAYNEALAVERY I can remember as a kid riding in the car with my dad, this would come on the radio, my dad really liked it, he's gone now, what I wouldn't give to just take one more ride with him again.......I miss him

  • @EvanQuinn07 I know what you mean. What I wouldn't give to go fishing one more time with mine

  • I REALLY REALLY wish that if people wish to argue, slander and match wits with each other or among themselves, that these individuals would do so on each others' sites. It's so crude and tawdry posting this type of thing on a song.

  • Something about a piano man......love this, always have!!!

  • love love love this. Always have.

  • RIP, Floyd, you were one of the great ones...

  • What does any of this have to do with a beautiful melody played well?

  • SHUT UP MOTHA FUCCAZ. this is a pretty song. very. and ur ruining it with tha bullshit comments. just stfu

  • I see left-wing lunatics can't sit back and enjoy great music without forcing their political beliefs on others. Liberalism should be classified as a mental illness. It's a disease of the mind. It's truly scary how hate-filled and backwards people who are self-professed, "progressives" can be. Who cares if someone is a Christian or not? That is their personal choice and if you disagree with it that's just too bad for you.

  • What a shame all this hating is posted on some pretty music. WTH?

  • america america where did you go

  • @willieraye Mr. Willie are you a Christian? Let's make America great again by returning to the Christian principles and Conservative values that the founding fathers had in mind. Join us. BELIEVE

  • @MrHomosforHellwig Most Christians I know are hateful, angry, low-intelligence people who think violence is the solution to everything. Don't put the founding fathers in with that lot. They were very progressive men for their times and most were wary of religion.

  • @petey1892 Well then dipshit, you don't know many REAL Christians do you. All liberals I know are ignorant of history and can't see past their own noses. There is FAR,FAR more hate and violence associated with Liberalism than with Christianity. You are a real idiot.

  • @tkirklocke I think you've just proven my point about hateful, angry, low-intelligence Christians! Thanks, and God bless.

  • @petey1892 So in other words you're saying the Founding fathers fought, bled and died to give us independence and sovereignty and created the Constitution so that it could be shredded, twisted and basterdized by people like Obama and his moronic minions.Too bad Hitler didn't hate the progressives the way he did the Jews.

  • @tkirklocke Typical hate-filled, ignorant Christian. And you clearly know nothing about the history of the Founding Fathers. Read up.

  • @petey1892 Why don't you read up dumbass! And not one of your college "history" books, edited by people like you.By the way,I'm not a devoted Christian, but I see those who are getting shit on by cocksuckers like you and I want to use my aggression to stomp your faggot faces in.Yes, I do hate people like you the way people like you hate christians. Why is it that Christians are "hate filled",but turds like you can hate any and everything that you don't agree with.We will eviscerate you fucks.

  • @tkirklocke You are clearly a very sick, twisted, hate-filled individual. You should seek some help before you shoot up some bystanders or beat up some little children. Seriously.

  • @tkirklocke Yup. Gotta love those "Christians" who wanna "stomp" and "eviscerate" people The committment laws need to be changed in the US. People like tkirklocke belong in mental hospitals, pronto.

  • Very sorry about you and your soldier. Floyd Cramer has always had a very unique sound/style with the piano.

  • The absolute best piano love song of all times.!!! 1965.. I was 17 yrs old , in love..w/a solider..about to go to Germany..He asked me to wait for him, I knew I couldn't. Broke my heart to say goodbye to him. .. this was OUR (dance) song even before we broke up..There will never be another Floyd Cramer.!

  • Beautiful song! I think this is my favorite piano song. Sad, but so expressive of how someone feels knowing it's their last date.

  • Stolen from me
