  • Vaughan Williams piece reminds me of my father who loved this piece and taught me so much about classical music. I can't help but have tears in my eyes when I hear it, especially when it ends with voices that sound like a chorus of angels.

  • This is simply a wonderful piece of music and of all Vaughan Williams major choral pieces perhaps the most accessible to a non-professional choir. It deserves to be performed every Christmas.

  • oh man, the last bars!

  • Schöne Aufnahme dieses in Deutschland völlig zu Unrecht eher unbekannten und selten gespielten Stückes - Danke!

Nebenbei, wer ist verantwortlich für diesen traurigen Weihnachtsbaum?

  • Nice recording of this in Germany rather unknown (and extremely rarely played) masterpiece thank you!

By the way, whos responsible for this sad-eyed Christmas tee?

  • All who know the Lord cannot but be touched by these words, esp. "When sin departs before thy grace ... "

    Praise the LORD.

  • This fills my heart with joy every time I hear it and to see it as well..

Good stuff, and to post the words as well was thoughtful

  • What a wonderful performance. This is a great piece to sing.
