  • whats the name of the song @ 1.47? The breaking-down-thing^^ Thx!

  • i wish i could find a video of his set from the movie scratch....

  • the hunchback of notre dope!

  • Him and his music has change so much since this video I like the guy but i gotta agree he sold out..

  • A very gooood turntablism dj, i love his scratch !!!

  • Sick set though the DMC USA 2000 version is a lot cleaner/fluid. Too bad no one has Klever's DMC 2000 USA video.

  • I remember sewing klev perform with the xmen at mjq...he had fn dreadlocks. Klever is an atl legend. He used to be in a crew called third world citizens before joining with craze and the allies. Was when hiphop was.....well...worth getting excited about. Wtf happened? Klev please continue to carry the torch man..

  • @fefedj

do you know what equipment he is using

like what kind of mixer that is or which turntables he is using

  • @milad111222333 Turntables: Technics 1200 MKII or 1210, Mixer: Vestax, Numark, Stanton, Pioneer...Needles: Special for scratching (ortofon, Shure or others), choose your best equipaments, and pratice...pratice...

  • @fefedj sorry its a Panasonic mixer believe it or not. ;-P

  • mixer:'Technics SH-DJ1200. at beginning can be used only this one in dmc competition.

  • @milad111222333 On this video the turntables are Technics 1210's, the mixer is a Technics SH-EX1200 and the needles are Shure M-447's

  • BEST DJ TO HAV NEVER WON

  • holy shit they're actually changing they're records this must be ancient !!!!

  • @trichromez Yes...because they're using real vinyl and not Traktor or Serato. As the video says, it's from 2000 so....11 years ago. Wow that is forever ago! How old are you? 12?

  • @2nah hahaha you obviously missed my sarcasm , look at the vids foo, i got my pdx 2000's plain a day to see, and 12? naw , im a 9 year old that can destroy you on the tables!

  • @trichromez Wow lol you must be young man this serato and traktor thing is new to me lol i been out the game since about 2001 though haha

  • Men this guy has phukd up his posture spinning

  • @dlinkw that's how you know it's fresh

  • it reminds me good old days.

  • Mashup @ 4:33 is mental. "That cut is fresh.. FRESH"

    ROFL

  • He's got that technical-dorkish look back then and now he changed style, got all tattoos on his forearms, but I prefer his look here.

  • siiiiiick!!!!!

  • Dope set. It just wasn't clean enough to beat Craze

  • ITS SO FFFFFRESH so fast on the ups 5:41

  • Klever from the MUTHA FUCKiN ALLiES...

  • old ass more dusty than digital shirt

  • Intensely good!

  • this is the guy rafik completely took his style from

  • You could argue that. I think Rafik is more like Tigerstyle though

  • hey dj, umm come get some!

  • Klevier Killzzzzzzzz Kutzz even ten years ago

  • great sounds...but looks like a fuckin nerd.

  • That's his style dude.

THANX! Please NEVER remove it!! xD

    *~P3AC3~*

  • PS: that was a response to CheeseDonSeniors "All DJs do is rip off artists" Comment

  • This comment is for CHEEZY DON SENIOR If u think this is not music or talent you must be mentally retarted, or just plain stupid as fuck. These professional turntablist take music of all genres and create innovative sounds that are appreciated by all types of music listeners, U said these guys should go to music school? Alot of them have studied music and instruments you arrogant fuck. I would love to for you to try to come close to doing anything this musically inclined. Faget!

  • ITT IT ITTSS SSOOO FRESHHHHH!!!

  • these guys are engineers! they take your silly little instruments and show you pricks how they should really sound. why not go comment on summin you understand

  • CHEEZYDONSENIOR

How do they pick the winner? is it whoever makes the most annoying noises wins? or do they judge by how nice the deejays baseball cap is?

Now you will never know U DUMB BASTARD...DONT KNOW SHIITT OF HIP HOP BATTLES xD STAY IN SCHOOL...U A FOOL ALREADY :P

  • Please! DJs make or break records there's almost no artist that make it if all the DJs decide to ignore their music, Who's pushing the music to masses at the nightclubs? That's right... The DJ. Who started this hip hop thing that has taken over for the past 30 years? The DJ! It's actually harder to learn how to do some of what he did than it is to learn any other instrument. I play the violin and DJ so best believe I know. What he's doing is like improvisational jazz, it takes skill and thought.

  • How do they pick the winner? is it whoever makes the most annoying noises wins? or do they judge by how nice the deejays baseball cap is?

  • Maybe you should educate yourself about "real music". Give me one thing about a turntable that makes it not a instrument when used this way. I would like to see you do half of that HAH

  • lol he has a camel hump on his back

    good dj :)

  • he's pretty sick... too bad he isnt as humble as he used to be.

  • Someone post the 2000 routine from the US Finals!

  • it's so fresh !!

  • its not about speed idiot.

  • anyone know what the records he is using are at 3:20?

  • Ha! You are funny!

  • a-trak, craze and klever were all in the allies, so of course they are all going to show each others style somewhat, but he is not biting off a-trak, in my opinion they are completly diff styles, same with craze...all diff styles, so klever did bring something unique to the table

  • Biting A-Trak and Craze? A-Trak after seeing Klever said himself that he needs to work on his scratching to add more speed. Klever was the very original with his juggling and cuts. That style had not been done prior by any one at that time. The sound he gets when he's does his chirps has not been replicated by anyone (that i've heard anyway)

  • major hunchback

  • Search for more Kleva sets guys and you will see he is capable of even better :)

  • What's that song at 00:52?

  • did they relocate more dust? i know it left little 5 pts a few years ago

  • saw him here in nashville not to long ago now hes all tatted up. here in 2000 hes got blank arms..haha.also his shirt is advertisin a great record shop called more dusty than digital..check it out

  • yeah true. these a clip of this on the 'scratch' dvd. i always thought he was a mega nerd but now he's all electro rock with tat's and bling haha

  • this set wasn't in scratch...the us finals version was.

  • This set was is scratch

  • yup

  • stupidly good. No wonder he won. fucking legend!

  • but what has he added to the artform ??

  • lmfao what kind of fucking question is that? he added himself to the artform and did it better then the next mofo

  • a lot of people have agreed that he came up off of using Craze's & A-Track's style, even though he is nasty with it -I just think the art has suffered enough from lack of originality, that's all.

  • their in the same crew...and all different yet similar

  • i 100% agree, in the early 90's every dj sounded dif, i was able to tell them apart on the radio just by their style without hearing their name,.. now i wouldnt be able to tell the difference. only one that really stands out to me style wise now is mix master mike,.. his scratches are like his trade marks,..

  • def037: I think it's true that the further back you go, the easier it is to differentiate individual styles - but the fact that we now live in a media rich environment has allowed everyone to bite each other's style. That may be bad for individualism, but on the whole it's helping to elevate the whole art form and speed the evolution of turntablism.

  • Perhaps we're just waiting for some new innovators - it'll happen for sure.

  • thats a good way of looking at it

  • nice

  • does anybody know the beat from 1:48? please :)

  • Royalty feat. kc and jojo from Gangstarr's Moment of Truth album.

  • one of the illest sets ive ever seen

  • Like the Cut says: Its so fresh! :D nice set Klever

  • what a sick set

  • i like it

  • so awsome, i remember the "its so fresh" cut was put in the movie scratch, one of the sickest parts of movie

  • I do too, thats why I wanted to watch this full routine so bad... but notice the setup is different from the movie... i think this is the regional/state and the one he did the BETTER version from scratch was probably the nationals

    but yea, GREAT routine

  • Yeah, you nailed it. His US Finals performance was slightly better.

  • ha i was looking to see if anyone else noticed...lol i guess u did, nice job ;)

  • i like the beats he uses. very cool! and Dj klever too.

  • my favorite klever routine

  • klever champion!..
