Although technology has come a long way, I believe that by the end of human existence as we know it, we will still never know what lies beyond the visible universe, however the theoretical suggestions are interesting. Take the big bang theory for example, if it were true, then all energy and matter would have to have originated from somewhere beyond the known universe which perhaps indicates that we are part of something far bigger beyond our comprehension.
