The 80's might have been grim economically but we had the consolation of great bands like this and a country that had not yet lost a sense of it's own national identity (mainly applies to ye olde england which has now morphed into a PC police state shithole). Mike Scott was Scotland's answer to Bob Dylan. Only better. If he'd been born a yank this song would have a million views.

He is from Ayr, about 20 miles from my home town of Irvine. his mum used to teach at the local technical college.
