ok man im 16 and im doing the warrior dash in pa. i want to aim for a top spot even medal status, so can u tell me some tricks? like the best and quickest ways on obstacles? i saw u roll under some which is what ill do but anything else? how should i pace myself? its 3.50 miles here. Are the obstacle worth saving a decent amount of energy for? Please respond man thanks!
90% of the people out there will just be having fun and not running it competitively. If you want to run it fast, be in the first heat while the course is still in good condition. The obstacles are all very simple and straight forward. Make sure you have a good pair of trail running shoes w/gaitors to keep the rocks out. I would also suggest running it a second time with some friends for fun. You can even run it a third time the following day after you know the course.
