@abcsoaps55 It's very hard to tell. I don't blame you though, as the quality makes the slight differences unnoticeable. I almost didn't post this as I didn't see the difference for a long time, then I relented and uploaded it in late 2008 as I felt people needed to hear this.
@kasey85 LOL I am one of those nerds that can pick up those slight differences in music, and I the variation I hear is in the last few seconds when the church steeple is in the background....
I'm not seeing how this is rare? This version of the opening has been all over youtube for years and was the main theme for most of the 2000's into the 2010's.
@abcsoaps55 You don't have the original video file of this opening in full, prestine quality. Youtube ruined it through conversion. Using premium headphones or a high quality sound system, with the original video file you will then hear differences in the instrumentation compared to late 1999/early 2000 ones. No, it actually has not been all over Youtube for years, as you have the wrong opening. This is different from the 2004-2012 opening. The 1995-2004 opening music was altered numerous times.
@kasey85 These ToL II openings were nearly obsolete from the web until 2006, when my cousin, CARMAKER1, started his channel & brought them back to the web. During 2005-early 2006, only the current sequence(2004-present) existed. He pointed out to me the musical differences between this & 10 other December 23, 1999-April 2000 opening themes. It didn't sound the regular one nor the occasional alternate theme(11/28/1995, 12/30/99). I believe it's a rare "test" theme that aired prior to April 2000.
@jordanda211 Yes, Skye was on "OLTL" between 1999 and 2001, she was brought to Llainview at the request of Asa Buchanan who hoped she would help him destroy his enemy, Ben Davidson. She bribed somebody to revoke Ben's medical license, and she eventually became the style editor at The Banner (Viki's newspaper) and was very interested in Viki's romance with Ben. We eventually learned that Skye was Ben's wife. She later got involved with Max Holden. You can read all about it on Wikipedia.
There are some really GREAT poses in this one -- Tea, Dorian, Blair, Skye and Viki. This was the sweetest pose of Viki EVER, and Christian is just so damn cute! I would literally devour him!
HOLY SHIT WHERE DID YOU FIND THIS?!?!?!?!?! Listen, I've seen a LOT of One Life to Live in my 30 years on this earth, but I've never EVER seen that opening! Great find! They're all looking right at the camera!!!
@acarmyofone Thank you, my aunt used to dub these themes to a separate tape for her baby son who liked it, but later moved back to Nigeria. When she found it 3 years ago in her storage room in Nigeria, so she sent it to me as I'd asked if she had any tapes from the 1990s of soaps. This cast montage ran for 3-4 months from the end of 1999.
@GenXorcist1976 It's an alternate theme. In high definition it is different alongside several others from that time period. Youtube crappified the music in the upload, so I don't blame you for feeling that way. I doubt there are 11,000 considering how only 3100 days passed between it's debut in 1995 and June 2004. My cousin told me, there are actually about 150-200 different versions of this entire opening from 1995-2004, including alternate themes in random episodes. This is version 60.
Yes there is. If there wasn't I would post it considering how the original 1999-2000 theme is posted on Carmaker1's channel. When I play the original non-Youtube video in surround sound and HD, the difference is very visible. You probably wouldn't know, because of Youtube's crappy "HQ" quality.
I obviously do, but that's not what I said. I meant that it was a rare version by the instrumentation/rhythm of it, like a remix. No one but me has this.
Has there ever been an Asian on this show? ._.

@GenerationBright Blair Cramer was originally played by an Asian woman named Mia Korph.

Okay, Okay, upon listening to this again, I can hear the very slight difference in the instrumentation.

@jordanda211 Skye was on OLTL while looking for her birth parents...it was a REALLY cool crossover that went from AMC to OLTL and finally to GH

Very nice quality. The slight variation in the theme really stands out if you have a good quality sound system or headset.

@whitbyterry Thank you! I found it so weird when I found this. OLTL for some reason liked to "have fun" with the music for this opening.

What's rare about this? There are about 11,000 similar openings from this time period.
