There was actually a commercial video Al did for this featuring him playing in a 3D cube of lights if I remember correctly. A martial artist was going through a kata at the same time within the cube as well too (I think). I actually have the video on a VHS tape somewhere in my collection.
@IronicallyVague .... voted best guitarist for the song "Elegant Gypsy" 12 categories and still has yet to be broken. No comparison from anyone in any category! 78' & 79' Though he's not been surpassed in any category as his, music was well ahead of his time. Unsurpassed by anyone for, those familiar with music.
such a great song. I accidentally stumbled across this when I was looking for some of Jan Hammer's stuff. I think it's really awesome when synthesizers and guitars can work together and create a great track like this.
@RedSubdivisions Unless I'm mistaken, this was mixed by Francois Kevorkian and Al is playing a SynthAxe. It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure that was the case.
Is this is out on CD? I seem to recall there were four different versions of Sequencer: there was the album version (which I think was the one they used in the video), a 7" mix (which faded out and had a different intro and slightly different mix from the album version), and I think the 12" had an additional pair of singles.
Maybe if Scenario ever gets reissued, we might be lucky enough to have the 7" and 12" mixes included as bonus tracks.
If you check " OntspanTV "s channel, they have the video that I mentioned in my earlier post.

tour de force, one great 80's album.

I had no idea that there was an extended version of this tune, or an alternate, for that matter.
How come CBS/Sony/Legacy didn't release this one (unless it's available overseas like Jeff Lorber's Arista releases)?
I love this version. Just goes to show that Al Di has kept up with the times in the 35+ years he's entertained the world!
TRULY 80s this tune is!

It's also the version on his album Electric Anthology (released on One Way Records), and can be downloaded on Rhapsody.
