That was awesome, especially from 0:20, but at 0:56 i wouldve gone a bit higher for that. Its great you learned this by ear.

Also, at 0:52 you're supposed to play a G# instead of E like I did. Heck, I'm on completely wrong keys between 0:57 and 1:06. =^p

I learned those tips from a tutorial a long time ago, but quite a while after posting this video. I'm surprised that you're the first person to point one out. This video has been up for years; you'd think a thousand trolls would've repeated my mistakes to me by now. =^/

i was wondering... how do you change the split point on a psr-295 yamaha piano? mine is set to a low g, right below the middle c.

I've never used a PSR-295, but here's how I did it on my PSR-290:

Push the Function button. If you just turned the keyboard on, it should already be the right menu, but if it isn't, push one of the Category arrows until the screen reads "Overall." Then push the Select down-arrow twice. When the screen says "SplitPnt" you spin the wheel/dial, push + and -, or type a number to adjust it.

Hopefully the models similar enough that this at least helps you some. =^)

Im watching your hands very closely and taking note of your hand movements.. i hope you dont mind that. I would love for this to be played whenever halloween is around. My home is in the woods and a bit alone. we get a fair amount of trick-o-treaters ironically. If I played this during Halloween night so loud they hear it from a few 100 feet away.. they probably wouldn't even get close.

You mean you have a PSR-290 and you didn't know the S.Voice category in the Function menu controls the Split Voice? =^p Especially after I tried to explain it to RandomRobloxian in the comments about a week ago? ;^)

Every setting I THINK I used is in the video description. I filmed this over 2 years ago, and forgot to write the settings down at the time, so I'm not completely sure. =^(

Thanks. ^‿^ It's a feature the keyboard has called "Split Voice." When turned on, half of the keyboard can play a different sound (voice) than the other.

The settings I used are in the video info. Anything with an "S." (which I probably stands for "Split") controls the left keys (as you said, "left hand from 0:20-end.") "SplitPnt" is which key separates the left side from the right. =^)

The short answer is I was too lazy to learn how to play it correctly. ^_^'

I could already play the melody with my right hand and the harmonizing "bass" notes with my left. I wanted the harmony notes higher than the melody at 0:10; it took more effort and coordination than you would think to switch the parts my hands were playing, so I just switched my hands. =^p If you listen, those high notes are similar to what the bass plays at 0:40. ;^)

@Jeojbe2468 Well, my favorite feature is MIDI in/output. Since I have software for making MIDI files on my PC, I can plug in my keyboard for higher-quality instruments than Windows' standard drivers (my "Dancing Lemmings" and "X Zero & Axl do the Hokey Pokey" vids both use this).

I also like the fact that its built-in rhythms (or "Styles") all have A & B parts, Intros & Endings, and auto-accompaniment easily triggered by key or button presses. (See my "Lead Me, Lord" for examples)

Yes and no. Yes, it has a touch sensitivity function you can turn on and off that makes the notes quieter when you push softer (I think I had it on while filming this).

No, the keys have no weight to them whatsoever; they feel like the plastic tabs they are. =^p

I guess you can say it has synthetic weighted keys. Its pressure sensor can imitate the behavior of weighted keys, but there is no actual weight. Pretty weird at first if you're used to a piano, but you get used to it. ;^)
