  • The album this song was off was class - Fin De Siecle I think? I had it years ago, whole thing was enjoyable from start to finish.

  • one of Irelands finest is Mr Hannon :)

  • I just love his clever use of language in all his weird and wonderful songs, but his voice also has great depth and is so smooth. Great live version.

  • i never tire of listening to Mr Hannon sing, such an elegant singing voice :)

  • I really like this style!! What other bands/musicians should I listen to?

  • @carpeinfinitum You should try Owen Pallett aka Final Fantasy. Or if you're looking for majestic voice and stunning arrangements dig stuff by Scott Walker.

  • @MarTenSaa Thanks for your suggestions! Didn't enjoy Pallett's songs much but Scott Walker is awesome, thanks! :)

  • @carpeinfinitum Can i recommend Brett Anderson and of course the sublime Morrissey ? Not such smooth voices but great lyrics and vocal performances.Yes Scott is a god amongst men you are right - awesome !!!!! Also great are The Lilac Time. Stephen Duffy is a genius and much overlooked - great pop songs.

  • @carpeinfinitum I would listen to Duke Special - he is excellent and a fairly similar style to this :)

  • @rosanna20736 Thanks! :)

  • Zero dislikes. Zero haters. The way it should be.

Distacati.

  • Is it just me, or does his voice sound like Ringo's...

  • absolutely perfect, from the depth of the darkest oceans, to the brilliance of a star filled sky, this song is spectacular, poetry, musically and space entwined, which makes the emotions feel even more so vibrant, very evocative - I love it x

  • Neil you are a genius & I love you! xx

  • Superb!

  • He reminds me of Jim Morrison in some strange way but he is much much more full of light and brightness! Intelligent and interesting lyrics what a wonderful discovery even if I am a bit late.

  • @pakarpis People are strange.

  • just love it, them!

  • Just, WOW. I think if I had been at that live performance I would have just been frozen. I felt goosebumps watching the video.

  • Only 8000 views, deserves so much more. Just beautiful.

  • Maybe the ones who haven't seen it yet don't deserve to view it...

  • Jesus christ. fucking beautiful

  • Is there a mix of this song, which is more classic and shorter ? Sorry, I'm French and I don't speak English very well ... Thank you !

  • Wheres the poem from? at the end?

  • If i'm not mistaken, this words are from Fellini´s "La Dolce Vita"

  • *these

  • can you send me a link to the web page where you found that cause i want to quote it but i can find a damn web page that has the exact point where it is said

  • Mmm. Well. I haven't seen this movie in a long time. I don't remember exactly where it is said, but I recall is Alain Cuny the one that gives this speech, I don't remember the character's name, though.

  • The character is Steiner, it sets up the suicide storyline.

  • @RavenDayexMilhas hey cheked a while ago (music lover and hooked on wiki... sorry) I believe its an extract from Fellini's "Dolce Vita"...

    Hope it helps
