Love the song. Great live version, too. After listening a few times, I'm convinced the (excellent) drummer is Carmine Appice (Vanilla Fudge, Beck, Bogert & Appice, Cactus, Blue Murder, etc.) He's my favorite drummer. (Helps explain why I liked the drummer so much on the first couple listens.)
This is a little known classic, no one mentions this track.
It's allways Wonderfull tonight or Layla or some other very well known track, of which there are many, but this is one of my favorites, the hypnotic riff is what makes it so exiting.
@wnmg432 try guitarmasta - dot - net. That's masta, not master. Again, guitarmasta - dot -net. U-T00b won't let me post the link, but you can find it there.
Fantastic song. Think this is from the Crosroads 2 live 4 cd box set. Well worth getting. This one of my favourite songs and riffs of claptons from the 70s :-)
I am not a HUGE fan of Clapton's...But He is A Guitar God...But He ain't GOD. Jeff Beck , Alvin Lee from Ten Years After , Jimi Hendrix , Jimmy Page (Yes...Jimmy Page...although some of You think He ain't worthy) , Even Frank Zappa!!! The list goes onto Eddie VanHalen , Randy Rhoads, Dimebag Darrell, Slash, etc.
I'm four then, love the heavy riff (better than the studio version!) and interplay with Marcy who puts it over the top. Precedes what John and Yoko did with Double Fantasy and Milk and Honey in terms of taking turns. Thanks jjmc60.
Me makes three.... The mid 70's Marcy Levy stuff has always been my favorite.... Great riff, great feel, great lyrics, Blackie and Marcy...it doesn't get any better than that....
Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, Feb 11th 1978 It's on the Crossroads 2 (live in the 70's) 4CD boxed set. Well worth getting hold of if you like Eric riffing on Blackie. Cheers.
Great sog perhaps one of the best one s Calpton.

Holy cow! is that clapton at 1:38! he looks pretty bad there. HIs recovery from drugs and alcohol was nothing shy of amazing then.

@JoyfulNoise1989 That's not EC at 1:38. It is Delaney from Bonney, Delaney, and Freinds, a group EC was with.
