Is this a joke? You try to compare an illuminati created occult religion (mormon-ISM) with the answer to Isaiah 42 to Isaiah 54 and john 16:12 (islam - verb for semitic S-L-M). You try to compare smith who's known for nothing other than creating a lackluster religion, with something like Muhammad who was the greatest human in history till even this day based upon political and religious and family success?

Mohammed prob'ly never existed. He is most likely a composite of shamanic figures from Arab history. When the Arabs managed to conquer a big chunk of the Mediterranean region, they needed a religious figure to unify their empire. But if Smith had not been killed, he would have been as damaging as Islam.

I'm not here to call anyone foolish. I just think if temporal evidence was something valuable enough to base faith on, Christ would have said something about it. But he never said, "and if the world brings forth evidence against me, see that ye discard the faith." The only physical evidence Christ has ever told anyone to check to validate him was "handle me and see." Can't do that until the Second Coming, so for now, I'll listen to the Holy Ghost (like Jesus said to do.)

I simply don't think it wise to try and base whether or not the Book of Mormon is true on something so... temporal as worldly evidence. I know it seems like a valid standpoint to take when approaching something like this. Matthew 10: 26 tells us that "there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known."

I believe the B of M's evidence will come forward. If not today, then for my children or for my grandchildren. But I don't have time to wait for proof.

Both religions are wrong. In the bible, it says that satan is the master of disguise and both prophets of these religions claim to received a holy book from an angel. Joseph Smith got the book of mormon from Mormi and Muhammad claimed to receive the Quran from Angel Gabriel. In addition to this it says that satan can allow himself to disguise himself as an angel of light. One huge difference is in the use of Multiple witnesses. Joseph Jesus' father, Mary his mother, Zacharias and Elisabeth, were all divinely informed of the birth of Jesus.

Muhammad and Smith were alone, contradicting everything before them. Muhammad foaming at the mouth and shaking thinking he was possessed by a demon. And not a single other person or prophet was told the same message.

The accounts are nothing alike, they were alone, Jesus has many witnesses, there is no parallel sorry.

Everything is and has been explained, but just because it doesn't fall in line with what the world wants, then obviously our religion is full junk. If you were shown the golden plates, or the urim and the thummim, it would make no more difference than it does now. No, I wouldn't say I'm worried about my salvation, I continuously research what my faith and others have to say on the issue. The LDS Church's doctrine on the Plan of Salvation, makes more sense to me, along with my testimony of it, than anything else I've ever been taught or heard of. Some may disagree, but that's OK, I'm not going to rub anyone's face in what I believe.

I've encountered enough of Joseph Smith's supposed lies that prove he is a false prophet and all have been debunked.
