It looks like you have long fingers. Can you cleanly hit a Db - F 10th, Ab - C 10th or an Eb - G 10th? If so, you would have no problem graduating from Jelly Roll Morton to Fats Waller.
@rogercallard Thanks for all comments. We are form Brazil. We will think about release. And I cant cleanly hit a Db-F and similar. When music is fast I cant do it like Fats. Would love to do it but I cant
you guys are great! I have a new appreciation for Tom Cat Blues (I only knew the piano-roll version). I tried to find a similar track at the iTunes music store (i.e. with cornet and piano duo). They have the original Jelly Roll Morton/King Oliver recording from 1924, but it's low-fidelity mono. Have you considered recording Tom Cat Blues and similar tracks? Even if you didn't release a whole CD, you could sell your MP3 tracks through iTunes etc.
why is that most of my favourite "new" recordings are either on youtube or myspace? because record companies don't see the need to issue REAL authentic talent like this, love king and jelly, and i see you two do as well, thanks yves francois (love the trumpet playing, very pure and true)
Alexandre and Joao, what a wonderful surprise to hear the Oliver/Morton classic performed, done with such darn good jazz feeling. This goes in my favourites?
Great music, "my friends"!
Your wonderful trumpeting inspires me to keep trying to pick up MY horn, and make some music, so THANK YOU for your fantastic jazz - I love it!!!
