err... i read the description, i downloaded cmx viewer, there's still no skins in my skins folder, and the file i put in the skins folder of the edited car named "XXR_CRSPCC.jpg", hasn't shown up in the game... oh nvm got it to work :P

i go into the skins folder where i downloaded lfs, but there are no .jpg files for the cars. there is only a .txt file that says you can view car skins in some viewer program. i downloaded the files of the default cars, then i put designes on them and saved them as .jpg in the "skins" folder but they won't show up in the game. what do i do?

ummm.... you have photoshop, so you have the picture of the skin in different layer. does this matter to put it directtly on the picture of the car?

i dont have it either, but a easier way is go in google and search some pre made skins, download it and put it in your skins folder, then make sure it works by starting the game, it should work so you can then just open that skin in paint or photoshop and do what you want to it, then save and thats it!!!

Yes :) Download LFS Tweak.

It will work for modding several stuff on the demo cars, like 4x4 n turbopressure n stuff, not the S2 cars.

u must have bought the game to use Tweak. Tweak for version Z is now out. buy the game n download Z n Tweak :) U will find help on the lfs forums.

You can use custom skins, but only you can see it, because as a DEMO driver you can't upload skins.

Also, that skin looks totally crap, just pasted images. If you want to be a pro at skinning you need to use pen tool, use different brands and cut tool, also wrap the skin areas where it goes from fender to hood etc... You have much to learn so i would not recommend you to do a tutorial yet.

LOL, i've done skins for games like rFactor, Trackmania Nations and Live for speed for approx 3 years now.

That skin tutorial you posted just teaches how to copy and paste... You should show other things too like colouring the base before painting, adding decals without white background on them, brush and line tool using for simple designs like racing stripes, simple smooth, two tone paint etc.
