meet this guy last night... I have never seen a dj with such a passion! full of optimism and humor, infinite source of positive energy! On his track he mix elements of psy-trance n dubstep - what a great combination!
Stop bitching you stupid fucks. Who cares how the song is constructed as long as it sounds good. You picky elitist faggots, you probably harbor a narrow-minded handful of artists you listen to just because you want to sound like a know-it-all. Bunch of boring ass cunts you are.
christopher lawrence produces his own tracks guys so he's not just a dj who "spins prerecorded music"...plus its not just CL who does that...its ALL djs from trance, house, dubstep, to hip hop...that's what a fucking dj's title is...wow some ppl are stupid! and also, u can't even compare infected mushroom to CL...they are completely different genres/styles of electronic dance music. Infected mushroom is a psychedelic live act while this is a DJ SET...CL is progressive trance too
To all the naysayers here: he's a DJ, that's what DJs do in a club setting,
I bet you guys comment on clips of marathons and say "they're just putting one foot in front of the other for three hours."; or clips of origami: "she's just folding paper into shapes."
I also saw this guy perform right before Infected came on stage for the New Years show in NYC. I thought his "performance" sucked, I paid to go see Infected Mushroom actually PLAY their instruments yet they put this guy on stage for more than two hours? I thought his performance was a waste of time, it's not even good electronica at all. His equipment is easy to use and he's just playing pre-recorded tracks. What ever happened to good electronica?
@ethnicallyamerican You, strait up, are an idiot. You are representative of your screen name. Lazy DJ's (one's who get rich and famous) eventually do this, but they didn't always. A good DJ concert is not like this. Obviously you don't know that, which tells me that you haven't ever been to a really good concert, where the creation of the art happens on the spot. Sux for you and the rest of the uneducated population. I'll continue to enjoy them.
@TOUFLS1 I agree, there's nothing special about a minimalistic 4/4 time signature song lol. Just because you have a arge crowd of drugged up teenyboppers who don't know good electronica doesn't mean your good at PERFORMING on stage lol.
Grüße Fräulein, Sturm-Verbot-Führer, i' m disapointed, I downloaded as much of these films because I could, deformed their goods and all what another shit, but my search
determined the mixture of slope of asshole for the shit, now I am a large ventilator of the recordings of illegal alcohol and this of the djing types, however I heard that a positioning of 2000 and it were mixed the same way, good selection of the airs, but not to improve during ten years or practices for this matter is simply sad, and none that is not the system of Pa,
@GeorgielvsTheEnemy oh my god...if i play for 20 people i get nervous....i would of shat myself playing for this crowd...followed by vomit and then followed by passing out....
@bolch88bb8 You call this playing? He's dancing and pushing faders and knobs on a mixing board(and other gear) that are linked to pre-recorded tracks. He's not doing anything but controlling the volume of specific tracks the songs and the transitions were done the night before so he could make his life easier for the gig, I saw him open for infected mushroom and he was much better than this so a year makes a big difference...plus he's playing a song of his that was remixed by someone else.
@silverhawkmanu There is an infinite number of ways to produce a trance track. I would be able to have a discussion with you if you pinpointed what you disagree with as opposed to cursing. It seems as if we're on the same page - I never discounted anything producers do. Perhaps you're young and full of angst, or old and bitter.
Coachella isnt a trance fest at all, the majority of people go there are there for the electro and rave shit, plus the rock bands that play. exactly why i went and my friends, thats the logic behind this dead set.
You're right Trancer - I DJ'd for a few years, it was easy - I produced for a year, it's insane. Now I play guitar, which is even harder still. Some of my "instrument" playing friends used to discount DJ'ing and producing as second rate. In a sense they're right - playing guitar is infinitely more difficult. But they're all variations on getting music out there. If the track is good, I don't care if you press play on a machine. My ear and brain could care less when I'm dancing.
While I agree that DJ'ing isn't the most difficult music talent to obtain, there is some skill involoved. You have to be a producer on the fly - and have a decent ear to play at clubs. Again, it's not incredibly hard, but track programming and adjusting levels does take time. It's like a good storyteller - they don't always write the book, but they can bring it new life.
Well yes, but stil, producing is indefinitly harder and still, Tiesto and Armin get like 50.000 for a average Club night and the average Trance producer gets around 35 cent per Track (Track 1.40 euro, 50% takes the shop, 50% the label for example) and can be happy if his tracks sells one or two thousand times overall.
What and epic scene with him and perfect snap shot for how no Dj's except Trance Dj's can have this sea of fans. Most of his music sounds so serious and hard, which really kicks ass live,
Agreed djzkool...electronic djing is the biggest scam on the earth. This fuckers do simple beat-matching and get pain thousands. Look at all those idiots falling for it LOL!
