I just got for my 18th birthday an introductry lesson in a light aircraft, flying to one airfield to another then back, i can't wait. The only thing i'm dreading is landing the plane :P

I loved old Lima Echo, carried out my first solo on christmas eve 2005 in her, did my first solo nav, PPL X/C Qualifier, PPL Test & 2 year PPL renewal!

Miss flying the Robins, they were great fun, only get to fly Warriors these days, however I did fly a 2160 Robin for my spin test for my Instructors rating the other day (G-WAVT), it was great fun!

From the Green markings on the wing this would be G-CBLE, she was lovely to fly, I think its at Bounmouth now.

No, but pilot pride does come into it, I get very annoyed with myself if I dont get it on the centre line what ever the conditions, However for the purposes of safe flying so long as its somewhere on the runway that'll do!

this is a great vidio thank's for putting it on , cardiff airport is placed in a great spot coz you can see barry island and its good when there to see the plane's land or take off over the island

G-VB is the better now, got it up to 7000ft the other day on a flight to Lundy Island. Although I do also remember the days I couldnt get the thing over 3000ft and kicking that fuel pump to get her going, and dont get me started on the bloody battery!!!

Yup, has a better climb rate by about 200ft on same power setting equivalent as VB. VB is still good though ;)
