It's a shame that China cannot put that much effort into their other infrastructure. The "made in China" will always stand not to be overshadowed by a "space" travel already done by other superpowers. @jjyykang: It's not easy to go to the Moon, along with the fact that everything was 1960's technology. I'm not surprised that it was so expensive. That being said, I do hope other countries become experienced in space travel. I for one don't belittle the efforts of other nations because I don't like that country, I recognize the difficulty in such an endeavor and applaud the people who made such an attempt possible. I encourage you to do the same.
I like America's odds better, they are moving to private space exploration. The Private sector is putting up satelites, put 2 men in space (Spaceship one) and in another decade should surpass NASA. Thats the way to go, private, more efficient than state space agencies.

It's not that it's too difficult for them, but their rockets aren't nearly big enough to haul three people plus supplies for a moon mission. I was merely stating that they need to rework their rocket if they wanna go for the moon.
