You're playing and ease of which you play many styles with class and appropriate approach, shows what a well rounded player you are. Good job! (how many takes? lol)
There is a lot of info on this product available online. It sounds like a couple of you may have the older G-DEC not the G-DEC 3 which is the one with all of the cool internet connectivity & doo-dads. I know that the new ones do come with a couple of cool software programs & that $2 cord to share & download tracks online.....hope this helps.....peace.
I have the new G-DEC3 15 watt model. It's a ton of fun, but it's a lot of BS too. Don't get excited about going on the internet and down loading new files. You can't. Don't get excited about making your own patches. You can't. You're stuck with the presets you have and you can't save anything. Even the overdub feature is unusable. Need a manual to use it? Can't have one! F U Fender!
But it does sound good, and it will make you a better player.
@1971SuperLead Non of this is true. You can download and make you own, as well as reorder everything you have, delete what it came with and upload your own. Very versatile.
@eddierullers Thats a new Fender Classic '72 Telecaster Tele Deluxe Electric with the awesome Wide Range pick ups. Made in China and for sale at around $699 on eBay. It's an awesome guitar made affordable by Fender's adorable child slaves in China. LOL
@SONGSTICKS It has a tiny head phone jack. No good for stage use. Supposedly you can download new patches into this, but I went online, even bought a special USB cable and still couldn't get anywhere. I think we need to buy a software program, a special memory device and who knows what else, maybe a subscription or pay for downloads. You can't even download an operating manual, and don't think there is a CD which explains how to use this contraption. I will never know how to use this thing.
@1971SuperLead I have used it live to a PA. Patches are super easy to download and free. You don't need and SD card but one can be used. No subscription or pay for downloads. You can view he manual online as a pdf.
@drbillyhell I scoured the Fender website. There was no manual, no downloads, no patches, no information, nothing. To top it off.... the amp doesn't come with the $2 cable to attach the amp to your computer. I think I know why. As soon as you hook up your amp it dawns on you that your computer doesn't recognize the amp's software.
My amp is still programed the way I got it. It's impossible to save anything. Press the save button all you want, it will just laugh at you.
I knew it, I knew it.....damn....when I got my Fender G Dec 30 about 4 years ago, they'd come out with way better models. The one I got is ok, but the presets only have partials, and it's cumbersome to load midi files. (haven't done that). But, it's a really great amp for weekend warriors like me! .
would you reccomend this amp? what music styles is it good for? im looking to get a new amp cause the one i have is junk. sense im starting out im just trying to get some info thanks in advance
You are a huge John 5 fan, huh? The first song you were playing over was a John 5 song and your first tone was his clean tone lol. And a tele with humbuckers too! J5 RULES!
@lDrFuManchul Thank you. I still haven't bought one of these yet. I sure do like the way they sound though. They look good too. Mexico or China? I don't know. I think this one is made in China.
well to be honest: i never heard of the made in chinas ... maybe you mixed them up with the squier telecaster custom ? mine had a MIM (Mex) serial# and i the mex 72er deluxes were build at around 2006 - till now but here in germany you cant find the arctic whites anymore :(
but fender mexico is a valuable bargain , quality is right the price as well :D but ok compared to fender usa and fender japan ( fender japan is awesome! if you find a cheap one on ebay i would recommend a fender japan! ) there is a bigger diversity of good products and some which are faulty but compared to the squier/fender made in china there is a huge amount of quality in the mexican fenders.

It's cool how the front panel below the volume knob gets hot enough to light a cigarette.
