The recipient didn't really appreciate it that much, but her mother (my cousin) did and she was very happy that I came out.

You said it right, it is all about being ready, I finally made up my mind and it hasn't been that tough. I can be stubborn for all sorts of reasons, lol.

I think for many people the christening thing is like the "knock on wood" superstition, you don't really believe it does anything/is necessary but you do it "just in case". Oh well.. I suppose a little water on your head and some praying time never hurt anyone.

I never understood christenings either. I think it is just that it is something that has always been done, so people just continue on. I think Jenn said she would be doing a text update today. I thought that that was a little optimistic, as she was probably just getting home...or even still in the hospital. I hope she did well. Ahh, so beautiful. Well done! :)
