Unfortuntly that would do no good, as apparently their previous label signed them up on a very dodgy contract indeed, which gave all intellectual property rights of even unwritten work under their control.... poor buggas... screwed however you look at it.

Not quite - they were on a standard record company contract - which ensures you only make money if you sell millions of CDs. I am led to believe that they split up because the record company were pressuring to make the next album sound "more commercial" - ie like another act who sells more...

Well although I do no know these lads personaly, I do know people who were signed to a contract like the one I described where all future intelectual property right were assigned to the label, and I had read elsewhere that this had apparently happened to these boys. Pressurised to sound less like themselves and more like some other bands, they apparently took the only option - to split. If I am incorrect I apologize to their label, however I doubt that I am.
