Me too. It gives me this weird sense of depression. But it lasts for hours. And when I would go outside I see the shift of the places in Virgin Suicides to the grim of New York City. But if one was to see a movie like Studio 54 it makes New York look for sane. More in control.

Althouhgh it is obvious that Lux isn't a virgin, the book and film do strongly suggest it is suicide. Plus in the book the title comes from a song the boys listened to, I think the title refers more to Cecilia and the belief held by the doctors who treated her after her attempt, why could a 13 year old virgin want to kill herself. Quote:"What are you doing here, honey? You're not even old enough to know how hard life gets" "Obviously doctor, you've never been a thirteen year old girl...."
