I modified the valve covers, try reading some before you post. You won't look so stupid if you only talk about things you know for fact.

I agree with maybe a 6 puck sprung grabing lol thats not wheel cherps you gearing..on another note high compression in a VQ 350z motor or 3.5 liter will be very impressive in throttle response. Matte a supercharger and its done....crazy fun

Aftermarket support is shit for the qr, and it's bore/stroke ratio doomed it from the start. If you are going to spend a bunch of money on a swap, go big :D

Well actaully the intake and everything came from a 350z he probably just used some vq30 valve covers or possibly heads to up the compression I really don't know of course but everything is off a 350z the only thing questionable is the long block.
And actually I'd rather have a vq30 or vq25 even for the response. Either one makes ample torque for a 240sx and the vq35 is just overkill unless you just want to drag race.

this video makes my clutch hurt. i actually had to try this, and yes, i CAN achieve the exact same result in my girlfriends 1984 1.3 litre swift. hey nice conversion though, i love the VQ's but for gods sake make a video of how good it sounds or something, not how poorly you change gears and how your car can do something any average family car can do. if i did this in my SR20 180sx i would either break into fishtales or break another output shaft in my gearbox.

Well actaully the intake and everything came from a 350z he probably just used some vq30 valve covers or possibly heads to up the compression I really don't know of course but everything is off a 350z the only thing questionable is the long block.
And actually I'd rather have a vq30 or vq25 even for the response. Either one makes ample torque for a 240sx and the vq35 is just overkill unless you just want to drag race.

@arabrockerman duly noted! ha! your right, after looking at the video again, the block clearly has VQ35 stamped on it. the intake and is definitely 350Z,but those valve covers are deceiving! My bad i guess :D
but i must disagree with you, if money was not an option i would defintely go with a VQ35, although true what you say that the other engines would have enough torque, overkill is always more fun ;)

@gtuning1984 True it all depends on what your after. I'm all about a track car and mountain roads. But I'll admit fun is hard to beat.
And on that note I'd like to see a vq powered miata hahaha.
and actually vq35s are so abundant that they are just as cheap as vq30s the expensive part is the Z or rwd parts. I could find you a vq35 for under $500 any day of the week outta a fwd. probably easier than any other vq

this video makes my clutch hurt. i actually had to try this, and yes, i CAN achieve the exact same result in my girlfriends 1984 1.3 litre swift. hey nice conversion though, i love the VQ's but for gods sake make a video of how good it sounds or something, not how poorly you change gears and how your car can do something any average family car can do. if i did this in my SR20 180sx i would either break into fishtales or break another output shaft in my gearbox.
