hey alexander you have wonderful parents ! your dad wants your child hood to be like a dream surely. that is so special in this current time. grow up and be just like your dad!! you have a super garden, oh dont forget to charge sweets for all that pedalling for your friends! only kidding.
Great video! Especially rewarding for me as having built the frame I never saw it run. Incidentally when Ian gave me the drawing for this he asked me to build two. The other one is still a bare frame in the factory. I would love to see someone else get this much fun out it (and save my shins).
You can check out other Greenspeeds in action in my videos.
Stunning, I have often dreamed of adapting a recumbent to operated on the endless unused railways here in the Canadian prairies. Is this an actual Greenspeed produced set-up, or is it your adaptation of one of their road frames? Well done, either way.
Greenspeed made the X4 especially for us, but they have a stock of parts to build further machines if asked! With different axles, it could run on any gauge, and on a big line, it would be pretty fast...
We do have a battery/electric loco - it is just visible in the other siding at the start and finish. Also an 0-4-2T steam loco. The X4 is fastest though!
how fast can you actually go? and thats soo awesomee!! i thought about doing this bike train=)

I wasn't so impressed for a long time.
I dont understand something, who made it, a train maker or a bike maker?

That's really great! I've already seen such record bikes on rails, but this one is just fun in the garden :-)

The 'chugga' noise is one of those peculiarities of steel wheels running on metal rails. It will be caused by sort of vibration in the wheel itself

I'm tempted to buy that one too if it doesn't find a home! We could have even more fun with two.

We're not geared up for visitors, but the X4 will appear at Bath Green Park on 18th November, and other venues this winter

all you need now is a diesel locomotive as an engine and then your railway will be prefecto
