  • i stepped on one of those bastards accidently...

  • eerr.. that's a small one. Go up to conn dam you'll see way bigger ones. easy as balls to catch them too. just get a fishing pole hook and some meat sink weight let it sit on the bottom wait until they taste it not the first few test bites after that they will not let go of the food very greedy animals. They're tons of them up there. Only downside is I havent been up there since I got scared off by a cougar...So be aware.

  • what i hate is that alot of people seem to think Lobsters and Cray/Crawfish are the same animal, so they post vids saying "crayfish catch" and whatnot when their in the f'ing OCEAN catching LOBSTERS, crawfish dont live in saltwater nor do they get a foot or more in length, nor do thye look like Spiny Lobsters who dont even have Pincers, if you examine a crayfish and a lobster genetically able to grow pincers, youll see they re not 100% identical, not all Lobsters have pincers, but all crays do

  • @Lavos2007 In Australia they call the spiny lobster "crayfish"

  • aww that was nice of u to let it go

  • @jpei23456 i would have crushed it with a rock

  • the best way to feed him would probably involve going to your local bait shop and purchasing either crickets or minnows. they would probably have to be killed right before being fed to the crayfish though

  • a huge bass will eat that thing easily

  • look fun

    楽しそう

  • I think its a signal crayfish, native to western North America - see the white spots on their claws. I've caught big ones here in British Columbia too (on Vancouver Island).

  • it was walking like a lobster.

  • Looks pretty yummy to me.

  • its just a lobster!!

  • It's a Crayfish...

  • its not that big compaired to the one i saw on another video called CRAYFISH!!!!

  • I have seen them like that before. For instance, at a large creek near Monterey, California, I saw and caught huge, nearly lobster size crayfish. Not only were they gigantic but tey also had a somewhat different shell texture and color to them. I have never seen any crays like them anywhere else. Until now: what kind of cray are these, as they are clearly different from the ususal smaller, red ones.

  • what creek is this in santa cruz?

  • you should have thrown him out for bait i guarantee the fish would have been biting they love crawfish as much as we do

  • i tried my hand at crayfishing yesterday (the flipping over rocks on the shore and grabbing them with your hands method) at a resivour and it is the funnest thing i've ever done in water! i'm gonna do it again next saturday and they taste awesome.

P.S. anyone who says that this is stupid and they're better because they catch lobsters instead, i got a little hint for you. CRAYFISH ARE FRESH WATER FUCKING LOBSTERS SO WE'RE CATCHING THE SAME THING YOU ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ..........that is all

  • That's normal in Louisiana XD

  • ....i eat crawfish like that every season T_T

  • me too!

  • ive seen one that big before but it got away before i could catch it D:

  • That's not an echinoderm. It's an arthropod. Echinoderms are starfish, sea urchins, brittle stars, sea cucumbers etc.

  • the guy behind the camra is always telling the guy with the crawfish wat to do and the guy with the crawfish is all like shut the hell up bitch!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It's a crustacean, not an echinoderm. Like the poster below me says, they taste great.

  • i HAVE EATEN THOSE BEFORE THEY TASTE FAIRLY GOOD ACTUALLY.

  • C'est une écrevisse rouge américaine, ça, et ses pinces sont vraiment énormes. Heureusement qu'il y a des gens qui ne détruisent pas les animaux par plaisir.

  • Is it just me or do guys that talk on Youtube videos have very effiminate high pitched voices? Is it the hormones in the burgers at T.G.I. Fridays or something?

  • GOT MILK? hidden camera!

  • if u would have had a butane stove and pan with some bottled water u could have cooked it right there and had a tutorial on how to cook them but its still nice that u let that monster go free

  • holy shit.. big crawdad

  • That's nice that you let it go, 5/5 stars.

  • Thats what we call a yabbie in Australia. :)

    Make for some good eating.

    Nice vid, thanks for sharing.

  • yeh im from Australia too

  • is this santa cruz island or city?

  • Where exactly is this place? It is very beautiful!

  • wtf are they doing...thats a decent meal right there, sheeeeeeeeeeeeit

  • dude, u should feed it to a cupple of mantis shrimps, would be interesting to watch + good exercise for the mantis shrimps, and also good healthy food... or you could make an aquarium and keep it, maybe it has good genes, and you could get babies from it :)

  • poh man'z lobster!

  • ur both gay

  • its crawfish idiot

  • That's a a crustacean

  • nice!

  • that's not an echinoderm...

  • you're right, enchoderms are starfish and sea urchins

  • best way to catem is my way if your feeling a little bit crazy get sum prawns and cover them in prawn powder then stitch them to ur palms maybe use sum gloves then go in stand and crouch still wait to 1 then grab
