I agree with you, gold hunting is the ultimate! I just wanted to thank you and tell you that I think your videos are awesome! I would like to thank you also say that you've helped me and probably tons of others with your material. Hope to see ya one day at Lynx or Rose...I'm from Mayer, doing the Bug. May the Gold Gods continue to bless you-rock on bro!
@Propanner how would you go about extracting flour gold from the heavier dirt, theirs a few OLD OLD 1880's gold mines around my home and their still loaded,i would say with about 2 handfulls of the rock and dirt you would get about 2-4 grams
@leonscottkennedyre4 Seriously? that would make it the richest mine in the world. Lets say a handful weighs 1 pound, so at a gram per handful thats about 2000 grams per ton >.< First thing..."DONT GO IN OLD MINES! PERIOD" people die every year in Arizona from going in old mines, not from cave ins but from toxic gases, it's really not safe, I wont set foot in an old mine. Use a gold pan to extract your gold thats the best way, I have a how to pan video so watch that if your not sure. STAY OUT!
@Propanner well maybe not that much but a whole backpack full was about an ounce and a 1/4,their not what i believe to be mines but air shafts, ones 15 ft deep the other is about 25ft,their quarts mines where the owner found gold, you can see it all on the walls of the mine all around the outside and all over the streets where i live
@leonscottkennedyre4 Sounds like iron pyrite (fools gold) or maybe mica which looks exactly like gold flakes but they are alot lighter than gold. Even an ounce and a quarter from a backpack still makes it the richest mine in the world. Most were lucky to see an ounce per ton. Trust me, if whats layin all around was really gold it wouldnt be layin around, the old timers would have easily recognized it and recovered it.
@Propanner Hey Leonscottkennedyre4! You're talking to Propanner! The man knows what he's talking about and obviously KNOWS what pyrite looks like! Mica! Give me a break, come on, that comment was almost insulting. You're talking to him like he's a greenhorn! What's with that?
Seriously, I'm no expert, but that dirty chunk might be gold and sulfides. From what I've heard, you could try heating up that chunk in an old cooking pan over a propane stove. It also might be a conglomeration of mercury, gold, and whatever other mineral that mercury sticks to.
Either way, stand upwind of it while you're heating it. Don't breathe the fumes!
@muconium I think your right about the sulfides. I also think if I try t o clean it more it's just gonna fall apart, so Im leaving it alone. DONT PEE YOUR PANTS!
Hey PP, How do you guys SPLIT your gold up? Is it whatever you find is yours etc...? I was wondering b/c I have a gold buddy...how do you split pickers & nuggets? What did you clean that dirty piece of gold with? I found one like that at Lynx Creek. Ready for the next video!
@htommyh Yeah what you find is yours, we only split if we use a sluice box etc....
I havent cleaned that nugget yet, been real busy shooting footage for the Panning Arizona series. I'm going out today to shoot a vid for you-tube, so hopefully I'll find something good...
That was cool. Awsome video nice gold. I found one like that biger one and I tried to bend it and it broke in like 10 peices. I did get to gold out of it. What was it mixed with? Anyhoot cool

How do you like the gold bug 2. I have a Tesoro lobo supertraq. Which is better? Thanks Propanner
bradmoore8 11 months ago
@bradmoore8 Never used the Lobo, but I have to go with the GB Pro because its super sensitive to smaller gold.

Git yournself a metal detector mate. A GB2 would run good on that type of spot. Helps to sniff out the wee pickers.

I'm not a 14 year old girl but OMG! Does new gold drop each year with the floodwater? Do you work the same bedrock each year? Incredible...
KurtSahib 1 year ago
@KurtSahib Yeah we tend to check the same areas after a good storm, sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn't.
