I remember I was at my summer camp in Frankfort, IL this day. I missed most of the storm since we were in shelter.

I like rain but that day was crazy.

my grandaughter asked me if this was a real "tomato"

i said no it's not a tornado. just a bad storm

Dude that Lightning t strike at 0:27 was less than 500 feet away!

That was a great storm. It was still light when I caught it further west so I didn't get as good a lightning show. You can even see a power flash at about 0:35

because i live there and i have some nasty pictures of the storm when it was heading right for our house lol nasty wall cloud!

How long did it take to die down?

It died down about 2 to 3 hours later I believe. I don't really remember much of that night, pretty much slept through all of it when I could.

I remember this storm i was at work close to randall road, i heard the next day that lighting on that night stuck more times in one night than it did all of last year, they have some device that counts each lighting strike.
