  • Beautiful New Mexico

  • fenton... Fenton....FENTON.....FENTON!!!!!!!!

  • Dante's Inferno is outlined in the beginning of this movie. This scene is Llewelyn crossing the river Styx, the dog is Charon as the escort across the river, as Llewelyn further descends into hell. - the entire opening sequence of Llewelyn following the dog; Cerberus, the symbol of appetite and gluttony, to the edge of the cliff, where Llewelyn looks down and begins his one-way journey into hell by stealing the drug money for himself.

  • What a fucking movie !

  • look at that f-ing dog.

  • A dog like that has no right to cry out when it gets shot.

  • 1911 !!

  • i like how that dog turned into a stuffed animal after it died lol

  • for all the shit this guy goes through, i was so pissed that he got it in the end

  • crazy vietnam war veteran

  • This movie is about making decisions. Some quick ones, some long ones, and definitely some wrong ones.

  • Gotta love 1911's .

  • @urungutang Maybe studpid, but what is 1911´s ? And why don´t they just run him over

  • @ham12388 1911 is a pistol.

  • Es excelente esta parte de la pelicula, excelente video.

  • Javier bardem is a legend

  • did you saw the when the pitbull jumps in the water?? i was like ; hooo shit he's gonna catch him and eat his balls !

  • silly shooting a long range target with a shotgun :3

  • haha the only thing that bugs me is how the dog looks when it dies.

  • That was a pitbull...and they cam swim pretty good...don't forget the current made it look like he was swimming faster

  • #OMG CLASSIC

  • Yeah that's baddass alright. But he got hit with the dead dog after he shot it.

  • This is a great scene there's no question about it. I've always wondered though wouldn't it be easier to just grab the dog in the water and hold it under until it dies? Surely a full grown man wouldn't have to much trouble keeping a dog under the surface for a minute or so. For the scene to be good though they had to have the cleaning of the gun and would he shoot the dog in time.

  • @RollerCoaster47 That wouldve been a good moment for the movie think.

  • I always thought pitbulls had far too dense bones to swim in the water - they'd sink like bricks. Can they really swim that well?

  • Getting out of the water is a bad idea. The dog can't continue biting you if you dive down with it.

Or better yet, dive down and pull it down for few seconds.

  • What kind of dog was that?

  • @dorsetperception The kind of dog you don't want chasing you in the middle of the night in a location you are not very familiary with.

  • @dorsetperception boxer or pittbull

  • I think i'd rather right than thing in the water than on ground. Either way, your dead.

  • owned. mean ass Pit.

  • Watching the dog swimming always makes me laugh. Great film.

  • i didnt realize how realistic this was til i got a pit bull bout 2 years ago. they swim like fish and will chase all day long.

  • American Pitbull terriers.....Best animals in the world.

  • Ahora si xD lol

  • This is a fUcking funny aSS scene.

  • This is a fucking funny ass scene. I couldn't stop laughing. Hahahahahahahaha

  • This is a fucking funny ass scene. I couldn't stop laughing.

  • and thats why dogs are a mans best friend

  • That dog is badass. Jumped straight into the river.

  • 1 person is a PETA advocate

  • @jbond5150 lmfao.

  • one person didn't dry their gun in time LOL

  • awesome. quality

  • In the words of Chandler from friends..."could the screen be any smaller"

  • I wish moss killed chigurh.

  • @superkool2 Can''t happen. Chigurh is the personification of death. You can run from it and fight it, but it'll get you eventually.

  • I don't think this movie has any background music. That's so cool how they can create such an effective mood without music.

  • @DennisBayazitov

There is background music actually, it's faint, but noticeable. You can hear it at 00:21.

  • his names chigurh.

    sugar?

  • It's Josh Brolin! And he's shot another dog?! NOOOOOoooo!

  • That's one dedicated dog...

  • My fave scene was "whats the most you ever lost in a coin toss" scene at the gas station, not a lot of action, but lots of meaning.

  • @DEDICATlON3 ya, that and then "if the rule u followed brought you ... "

  • A classic scene. Wish the Coen's did more action although they said this film was an excuse to get the action "out of their system" and they probably won't do a film like this again. Shame, although they had great material to work from here, I haven't seen action done as well and as realistic as this for a long time.

  • no country for old dogs

  • what a beast

  • the dead dog diddent look that fake?!

  • @FlanjB

It probably was a dead dog of the same breed? Taxidermy is great.

  • And that's how you kill Scrappy

  • haha, the scene starts off in the night and ends in the morning

  • @nosekta cause this dude goes out super late for some reason

  • Just think, if he had just said to hell with that dying Mexican, he never would've been sought after and him and his wife would've enjoyed the 2 million dollars for the rest of their lives. Llewelyn Moss was a super bad ass, but I guess no one is perfect

  • @dbroseph89

Well not entirely, the suitcase of money still had the tracking beacon thingy in it. They would have gone after him anyways and he wouldn't have been expecting it prly.

  • i could never understand why moss parked his truck so far away. not real smart.

  • @vladtepes97 it was kinda hard to get down there and the mexicans had a lifted 4x4 so they could get in and out. and werent all the trucks down there 4x4's?

  • Awesome ending but the dead dog does look very fake.

  • I always found that scene with the close up of the dogs swimming kind of funny.

  • i love this scene.....the dog looked so fake when he was laying on the ground

  • it does, but in the full scene when it shows the dog 1 more time, it does look kinda real since it twitches.

    Still a great scene.

  • @barcelona187, perfect film i loved it, but when the dog hit the ground it actually didn't look fake if you look closely the dogs tongue is moving and its mouth it's hard to tell on this but on HD you can see it clearly

  • pause at 2:16 IMMA EAT UR FACE OH FUCK I CANT CUZ IM DEAD BLEH

  • Holly shit, filming a whole scene at dwan must be really fucking hard, because of the illumination... and the Cohen brothers filmed a complex action scene with shootings, swiming in dangerous waters and an animal! This scene is godlike cinema!

  • @ruster2006

there are cinematographic technics to turn day into night

  • @newphew92 no not really they just waited until sunrise to film

  • @ruster2006 Was filmed in the day, dawn effects added later.

  • Would you have gone back to that crazy murder scene? fuck no, what an idiot he deserved to be killed. if he was so concerned about the dying guy he could have made an anonymous call to the police or EMTs, anyway good movie overall.

  • One heck of a shot.

  • lol the fuckin dogs on it!

  • I think he could of drowned the dog, just an idea, but pulling out a gun at the last second, just as good.

  • LOL Dogs cant do shit in the water.

  • BAD ASSSS!!!!

  • favorite movie ever

  • I lol'd when the dog jumped in the water and started swimming after him.

  • This is one of the finest films I have ever seen. My favorite scene is when Chigurh sees Carson in the stairs and follows Carson to his room to kill him. Carson reluctantly sheds a tear and says "You don't have to do this." I never knew Woody Harrelson was such a good dramatic actor! ...a dark, but brilliant movie

  • The one thought that was going through my head while watching this scene was "RUN FOREST, RUN!" Great scene though, this is also my favorite scene.

  • More like,Swim Forest Swim!

  • That flash of lightning makes this scene for me, it intensifies it.

  • i normally love dogs, but the way that nasty ass pitbull kept goin after the dude when he was obviously runnin away pissed me off, so i was glad he blew that stupid mutt away

  • This film is just a masterclass in every aspect of film-making...

  • @swanstep Its pretty rare to see a good movie like this now a days.

  • Perfect interpretation of the book scene. The atmosphere is spot on!

  • This scene remind anyone else of the airplane scene in North By Northwest?

And yeah, this is definitely one of the films best scenes.

  • this scene fucking rulz!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is my favorite scene too. i was like "damn that dog aint fucking around"

  • This was such an awesome movie. For some reason it made me want to move to Texas.

  • It's a pretty cool state.

  • He's been in Nam.

  • Such a nice touch capturing the breaking of the dawn over the course of the scene.

  • what breed of pitbull is that chasing hIm

  • who cares

  • Pure evil.

  • that guy was dicken around for too long he should have never gone back to that place. and when they started up the truck i would've been gone.

  • Thats the point of the movie dude? It was showing how not being ruthless leaves too much to chance and can ruin you.

  • hes a lucky bastard!!!

  • Hey man thanks so much for posting this vid. This is my favorite scene of the movie too, and also one of my all time favorite movie scenes. Its so simple, yet so powerful.

  • yeah have to agree with your other posters, such a great movie. especially what LoadManCummith says. thanks for sharing, very much!

  • i love this scene best movie ever

  • Him frantically cleaning and reloading the pistol at 2:05 is one of the best scenes in the movie.

  • thats what made it soo cool .. he wasnt frantically cleaning and reloading .. he was doing it like a mother fucking experienced bad ass .. calm and collected .. no panic ..

  • Mostly true, except you gotta admit he was kinda nervous reloading the magazine ;)

  • @LordSpanky Actually, it's like me power-walking to class. I don't flat out run frantically, just walk calmly and do it fast.

  • @LordSpanky your right....very cool and very heads up. He takes his boots off before getting into the water and then when he is out of the water has the presence of mind to clear his weapon before firing and does this all in life and death situations..very smart almost a match for Anton...almost

  • @maven21 No..don´t think almost.Anton tried to take his life and threw away about 15 bullets on Moss, none of which hit. Moss only got injured cause he positioned himself infront of the door which was dumb..but when it came to man vs man, they were equals. Can´t factor in how many people Chigurh killed.Thats why a 2nd confrontation between the 2 wasnt that necessary. We´d already seen what happens when they colllide. The demise of Moss was chicken by the Coens.Should´ve dared to show Moss go down.

  • @LordSpanky Vietnam war vet .

  • not cleaning, but drying

  • that was my favorite scene, so exciting
