  • This guy,s voice is so rich. Great song. Great memories

  • " Take the best of me and then the rest let go", Man what a lesson to be learned as we search within ourselves to find others, to become complete in this narrow minded world. My favorite song by far

  • muy bonito tema, suabe...

  • Essa musica sempre tocamos nos encontros da BUGADA... bons momentos, nao se apagam das nossas mentes!!

  • He is still fine! Call me if you're single!

  • God I miss the 80's.! please come back! I think we can do it mathematically, lets just subtract 25 years from 2009. :)

  • can we bring back pastel colours and Danger Mouse as well?

  • orzabal's voice is just perfect

i'm going to sleep after this song finishes

    good night

  • Ha ha... that's exactly what I intend to do in a few minutes. Good-night to you as well and remember to draw back the curtains and smile when you wake up! :)

  • Beautiful Song...Love It!!!

  • great post!!!!!! LOVE this song

  • good song ,sigh out song, goodnight.

  • Realmente EXCELENTE!!! sin temos a equivocarme una de las mejores rolas de TEARS

  • Amazing voice!!

  • Can someone upload Raul and the King of Spain....

  • Someone already did. :)

Just type it into the search bar up top (only make sure to spell it "Raoul") and you'll find what you're looking for.

  • @rpos1mk This reminded me of Raul and King of Spain also. I love that guitar sound.

  • Tears for fears forever.

  • Amazing song! like i heard yesterday!

  • He quit the band and buggered off to America. Roland Orzabal held on to the band name (it came in a package deal with the debt) and carried on without him. Smith's back now, though. In the band, that is. He still lives in the States.

  • I don't know how sad they were, but they sure as hell produced some of their finest music in those years. This song is amazing.

  • Nothing ever changes unless there's some Pain......profound!!

  • i loved this album after seeing this think i'll dig it out and give it a airing..................

  • grande Orzábal De la Quintana

  • Such a gorgeous song; love it!! Thank you Tears for Fears!! (*~*)

  • Raul ..para mí eres el mejor... espero verte algún día en Lima - Perú....

  • Show de bola .. muito bom

  • This almost sounds like it could be country "pop" kinda like a 2-step yeah love the guitar sound I also heard that this was Roland's way of saying "tears for fears was done" in other words "Goodnight" Miss TFF

  • some one help me pls.....

is that Michelle Indegeochello on bass ...?

  • It's the divine Gail Ann Dorsey. :)

  • o.k.

    thanks.

  • I've always liked this one...Roland is amazing!

  • Great song!!! To listen and dream on...

  • Still love Roland...Hoping he has something new out soon..I need and excuse to buy something for an I-pod and I really do not like many of the artists I hear..must be generational...

  • I don't know to. Where is Curt? o.o

  • 1989 was Curt and Roland's last year together as Tears for Fears. In 1990 they decided to split and Roland took the band's name, and Curt went his way. Later in 2006 they reunited.

  • Ooo :(

  • Ouh, and thanks for the reply :)

  • that guitar intro is so wicked!

  • my favourite band ever!!!!

  • whrers curt

  • Curt had basically gone off to "find himself" at the time this came out (1993). Roland - aided and abetted primarily by Alan Griffiths and Tim Palmer - made a couple more Tears For Fears albums, and then a nifty little solo album, before Curt contacted him for some non-music-related bit of business and they ended up reuniting - via fax machine, of all things.

So, as of right now, Curt is right where you'd expect him to be, Tears For Fears-wise. :)

  • wow! all i can say is wow!!!! goodnight

  • Than to race with a Cabrio on a summer evening, like that this music, fantastic...

    Thanks Roland!

  • anyone else find it odd that these guys have barely aged from 198? - 2009

  • What a lucky bar performing this wonderful song by T for F !

  • Happy belated birthday Raloand, your the best. May you have many, many more.

  • Happy B-day, Roland :)

  • Guess whose birthday is today???

Birthday Wishes 'n Kisses to Roland.

  • I'm 15! adding to the list of the young generation

  • I dream the impossible dream of seeing TFF perform in a small and intimate venue like this one in the video. Sigh!!!

  • You ask too much!! :) You've seen some weeks ago and you have a picture with him, think about the "poor" people like me who lives in Italy and maybe will never see TFF!!! sigh.... ;) you're very lucky!!!!

  • One of their most underrated songs along with "Laid So Low." I loved when Tim Palmer produced for them... I'm anxious to see what he does with Goo Goo Dolls on their upcoming cd.

  • Esta música é linda demais! Mexe com as emoções! Orzabal dá um show!

  • Pinche rola chingona!!!!!

  • Such a great song! While visiting the SW I had a free night and found out two hours before the show TFF was playing live in the city I was in. I was fortunate to get a ticket. I am so glad I went. I am still feeling the effects.Whats also nice to see is how well Roland and Curt have gracefully aged.Their maturity is refreshing. I have been a fan for over 25 years! I have to smile when I see Rolands face (^_^)

  • Yes, both Roland and Curt have exceptional genes which allowed them to age well. Maturity is very sexy.

  • fab4fl~ Maturity is indeed sexy (^_^)Greetings from Switzerland to you!

  • I can depart from this planet happily now that Roland signed not one but two of my cd covers. I took all of them with me just in case, thinking that it would never happen but it did. Curt signed one along with the words Peace and Love :-)

  • Maybe she was ugly?

  • sorry about that

  • TEARS FOR FEARS FOREVER!

  • Anyone know what happened to the females in the original goup I belive crystal is the vocalist?

  • all i said was dope video...and i get -1?...i like tears for fears...wow.....wow

  • Great song - I like TFF but never heard it before. I like the video very much too - but his voice is what I always liked at about TFF - wow - he plays lead?!!! Very fitting guitar playing - what talent!!! I didnt know he could play like that AND sing! (envy here)

  • Thank goodness Roland continued without Curt or there may not be any TFF to enjoy today and that no thanks to Curt!

  • me too..im only 16 and i think tears for fears is the greatest. Music these days have no meanings to their lyrics.

  • I completely agree with you,

    and I'm 14 :P

  • This song is pretty cool. I know age doesn't have much to do with it, but I hate rap, and im 16. I really like tears for fears a lot. Its just simply good music.

  • Now hang on, I'm 14 and I love tears for fears probably just as much as you do.

And I hate mainstream rap too, but have you ever heard REAL rap?

If you have, then I respect your opinion, but please, dont say you hate all rap if all youve heard is sell outs and fakes, Like Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, Akon, Kanye West etc...

  • Just adding on the the young person comments. I'm 15 and it makes me endlessly happy when I see people of my age group enjoying TFF!

  • I love to see it too

    As a matter of fact

Youve just made my day :)

  • Aww =D

  • Hey, hey! I'm 16 and I love to see people in my age group enjoying TFF :D

  • We should make a club or something. =) See just how many there are.

  • Definitely. That'll be cool.

  • dope video....

  • Nothing but good memories when I hear this song

  • Wow,,great song..dont know how I missed it when it first came out.

  • When was this song released, & where is the second singer?

  • They broke up and Roland kept the name for 1 or 2 albums. They got back together a few years back.

  • I want the guitar solo!! Anyone have it?

  • good song and the music world needs groups like TFF. what a cutie

  • Music from UK= the best in the world!!

  • i think this song is one of the best songs we have and share everybody its a really pitty this singer doesnt sing anymore but all his songs he sang has a really big touch to listen everyone whom listen him. wow .he takes you out of this world .miss him so much!

  • Cada vez que escuto e assisto essa banda choro de emoção

  • this sound is so beautiful.

  • Uno dei pezzi che amo dei Tears!Ma quando uscirà un altro loro capolavoro?

  • Great song!

  • where the h**l is Curt Smith, Ian Stanley, and Chris Hughes? WTF man! WTF!

  • Where have you been? :D

Keep sifting through YouTube and you will find lots of videos to answer your question, or was it a rhetorical question just to express your discontentment? Either way, I happen to adore everything Roland has done so far. Different folks, different strokes :-)

  • The lead singer is HOT!

  • I agree :-)

    I'll call today after work.

  • The bass player is Me'Shell NdegeOcello. She['s worked with quite a few artists (Mellencamp, Chaka Khan and Prince immediate come to mind), and she's put out quite a few songs of her own. Plantation Lullabies was a pretty good album. Check out "If that's your boyfriend (he wasn't last night)" to get a sense of what she's about.

  • Her name is Gail Ann Dorsey and she worked not only with Tears but she worked with David Bowie as well.

  • The bass player is quite popular. She has played with many famous groups. I believe she currently plays with David Bowie,or is it John Mellencamp? This TFF songs is one of my favorites. My fatigueed mind and body were soothed by this song from and very long flight from Zurich to the US. TFF still making great music! ^_^

  • the bass players hot!!

  • That guitarist is Jeff Trott and the keyboardist there is Jebin Bruni. Neither are Roland's brother Julian. Julian was credited for session work as back up vocal.

  • Good to have someone knowledgeable in the bunch to clear up the confusion :-)

    Thanks!

  • Aaah! That voice, those words, those lips...

  • where's the other guy who sang the lead in "everybody wants to rule the world"?

  • Curt Smith, who played bass and sang that song and many others, left after the 'Sowing the Seeds of Love' album in like 1989.

  • Roland's talent is ever evolving and didn't stop here. He has outstanding work after Elemental. I listen to Roland every single day and can say the more you hear all the nuances of his voice, music, lyrics, the more you love it all. It is almost impossible to pick one album or song as the best of his career.

  • Butterfly,

I absolutely agree with your comments...Roland's talent grows and continues on. I too listen every day and always find something new to enjoy!.

  • :-) Just wish we could be there near the stage and replay it over and over again.

  • I saw him 1993 on the tour supporting Elemental, a medium-size club here in Fla. and it was kind of like this video, only bigger.

  • Elemental is my favorite TFF CD, got me thru my divorce and still a work of art. but Raoul and Kings of Spain is also incredible.

  • i agree with the below comment speechless....i think i got it write...saw them in tampa..king of spain raul tour...tampa on his stomach...end of show..what in the hell is this nut talking about...had to be there and everywhere...nothing mean please post :)

  • this CD is still amazing... this song is the best on there. 5 star salute.

one of the best CD's of the past 25 years, seriously, get it if you don't have it - you will be VERY impressed and say, this is Tears for Fears? Like A-Ha, they went from being a good pop rock group to a verrrrrry talented band with great songs!

  • Great song!!! 5 stars and more...

  • This is a great song to listen to while driving through the country and the sun is going down. Roland is amazing love his smooth voice.

  • I see him. He's at 0:36 into the video. Standing off to the right of Roland.

That was pretty cool of Roland to let Jullian play in his band.

  • I love Roland's voice, the guy is so frickin' talented!!!

  • Absolutely. Tears for Fears is awesome and Roland's voice and music is pure talent.

  • How come the number of views doesn't go up? For one, I pay a visit every day. Weird. I think the meter is stuck.

  • Julian Orzabal's band's name is DelaQ

  • Thanks mate ;)

  • who is Julian

  • Roland's brother

  • You mean Roland's son?

  • Nevermind I know its his brother now. Sorry =)

  • "Nothing ever changes unless there's some pain"

  • anybody know when and where this video took place?

  • One of the best roland´s songs... "take the best of me and then the rest go" woooow...beautiful words!!!

  • If i hear the music from Tears for Fears there is like a Prophet tell me some goooooood words! Oh, what a singer!!!!!!!!!

  • this song hits the body and soul...goodbye

  • este hombre me encanta me parece sexy y su voz es unica te amo Roland i love u

  • The one who's playing the guitar is Julian Orzabal, Roland's bro. =)

  • That's Roland's brother? I had no idea! I always thought he looked an awful lot like Roland. He's pretty cute! :D

  • Yes, he's Roland's brother! =)

  • Holy cow, that IS Julian. I never knew that. I've seen one picture of him, and it's the same face all right. For 15 years I've wondered who the tall dude was!
