the distortion on the intro music is way better than the pedal demo IMO. it doesnt sound amazing enough to me to be ok with paying over 200 dollars for it. i have a Zoom Tri Metal(rip) that from the settings in this vid, kills this pedal.
based on this review and the wampler triple wreck, I like that one way better - this sounds like a pedal for metalheads only and probably a bit short of what you would get with the amps those guys will buy. The triple wreck will cover vast more areas of distortion into other styles as far as I can tell. This pedal has got a honk to it, but could be the setup. It just gets tedious like the genre.
@TheRealCritique That's not true. I have this pedal and have had the Triple Wreck. The Wampler wouldn't cut thru in a band setting no matter what I did. I had the mids cranked and it still got buried. The EMMA is way more 'present' and cutting, and is much tighter and less flubby sounding. The Triple Wreck sounds like a fuzz pedal almost.
Is there any chance of you doing a demo of high-gain/metal distortion pedals with a six string? Anything with buckies in 'em would be great. I have a Metal Muff but I'm looking for something better (if there is one, not saying I don't LOVE the MM).
@Burgerman666 Thanks so much! The more pedals the merrier. Triple Wreck, PisdiYAUwot, MI Audio Tube Zone, anything. I can't wait!! Oh no, thank YOU for all the demos!
@Botdra Gotcha. My apologies, I should have read your OP. Can do, but the Pisdi is no longer with me, unfortunately. Will have to get by without it. Coming soon.. again! :)
@Laskyman7 I only have justification for keeping one serious metal pedal as they only get used in the studio, rarely the stage. The PisdiYAUwot, as great as it is, has moved on. The Triple Wreck stayed. Differences? The Pisdi looks better, is a more manageable size and for all intents and purposes can deliver what the TW can (except the fuzz bit) and visa-versa. A friend was desperate for the Pisdi so I let him have it. I still have the TW so I'm happy.
I swear he doesn't want people to buy his pedals. He told me that the Openhaus only works with non-master volume amps (my Soldano), and those that don't break up at loud volumes (my Soldano). He also said that it works nicely with a Marshall amp, which the Soldano amps are loosely based on. Still, he didn't want to sell me one.
I said thanks very much for his honesty, and he never responded. I took as him not being honest. OKKO Dominator ftw!
I couldn't wait for the "Almighty" Burgerman to review this and I had to pull the trigger about 2 months ago. Wicked pedal. Sounds very natural, organic metal, and a good eq ability. Love it. Tonefactor hooked me up and were very good for answers.
To be fair, Burgs said he was waiting to get this pedal many moons ago to do a demo for all us junkies. Love the Burgerman and thanks for your help!
The only video that compares to this one for this pedal is tonefactors. I have been doing research on this pedal and love it. Burgs how would you compare this to the Wampler triple wreak pedal?

why every metal pedal has to be turned to 0 mids!?!?!.... is a nosense... so why you think engineers put that button... ?

@sercore80 distortion pedals usually don't go good with solid states especially line 6's. Once u get a tube amp it will start sounding good.
