Why does he need to let it rev longer? The only reason for the studderbox is to build boost at the line, not everyone is making 700hp and needs to spool 30+ PSI. He revs long enough to build full boost. Good run, if you are running DSMLink you should use the No-Lift shift feature, that'll take some time off.
you should let the engine rev a little longer before take off and let the gears rev a little more before you shift and i saw no reason for you to shift to 5th nice run thoe i have a 99 gsx with 700hp!!!

first of all, why did you go into 5th in a drag race? OBVIOUSLY you didnt run the to the rev limiter in each gear. if you did, you wouldnt have gone into 5th. you need to let the car run to it's max RPM's before you shift. ALSO, if you hold the rev a little higher when you lauch, that will help get the 60 ft. times down too. if you do all of that, you will have not problem running better numbers.

my friend did the 6 bolt swap to his gsx but he gets alote of codes from it.like he gets rappid misfire. his mods are the 6 bolt swap with a garret gt30r turbo, wiesco pistons, crower rods,a maf,an exedy clutch and 680cc injectors,a eprom ecu but he has yet to tune the car..but the car over heats alote and he doesnt have a thermostat in his car could that be the over heating? and the car spudders alote.i see your
What is he tuning it with. If he did the 6 bolt swap he will constantly get random misfire codes due to the cas being reversed. If he has DSM Link he can disable that code. Also, not running a thermostat is a huge mistake! That's why he is overheating. Tell him to get a 180 degree thermostat and put some air ducts in front of the radiator to direct air to it better while moving. Send me a message if you need more help/advice.
11.73 on pump gas is awsome. I just recently hit 10.02 on 100 octane @30psi, i want to set up my methanol injection so i can get to 9s:) Awsome video btw.
it's not gay.. nice run.. i ran a 12.1 on pump gas in 95 Talon TSi @ 35lbs of boost... blew the engine recently tho which sucks, but i'm getting it fixed up, hopefully be in the low 11's when it's done.
