When they came to St. Louis a few years ago, it was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made in missing it. This is by far my favorite song from them. Sigur Ros' music touches me and puts me in a place that nothing else can
very few singers or bands can you honestly tell that they are putting their whole soul and emotion into a song as they sing-this-this is just amazing-you feel the emotion in the passion of the voice. No other band I know of has achieved it.
yeah they kill it in seattle. i've seen them there as well. perfect north american city for them for sure. honestly my favorite band ever and great crowd to see them with.
dude, i'm totally with you there. my friends I was with really wanted to see kanye though, so i thought i'd give it a chance. but no, i was right...kanye is a little bitch and doesn't deserve to be famous, even though his music is pretty cool to some people. he just can't handle the responsibility, like a bunch of rappers out there.
ok this is prob ridiculous, and maybe it was caused by exhaustion mixed with sigur ros being the whole original reason i came to bonnaroo...but i totally cried.
Like everyone else, I was about to fall over from being so tired -- but after a few songs the weight of exhaustion was suddenly lifted and I felt wide awake. It was a really peaceful and affirming feeling. What a beautiful place to be! And as a side note, why were the two girls behind me complaining about how no one else was "fecked up" -- not necessary for Sigur Ros. Also, one of them kept coughing in the back of my neck. Anyways, think happy thoughts.
Not at all! I did as well. It was soooo beautiful. I love how downright appreciative people were. At every other show there (and at any other show anywhere), generally once the band's finished, everybody does a 180, and carries on to the next thing. Not in this case. People stayed and soaked it all up for a bit. The band doing their two ovation/bow things didn't seem over the top either.
Also... afterwards these two girls that were behind me were just BAWLING, and one said, "that was the most beautiful thing I've EVER experieneced! I wanna like call everyone that I love right now" and I said, "I know EACTLY what you mean!"
i saw another version of this song and someone said that jonsi couldn't hit the high notes anymore, like he does at 6:07 ish. and i almost believed them. but now that i've seen this i'm really happy. they will always be the best.
as time goes on it becomes more and more clear that i will probably never be as happy as i was at this moment.

.. at least that's not generalizing AT ALL. *sarcastic cough*
Why can't you just enjoy the type of music you like instead of b*tching around about a style of music you have no idea about?

I hate it when people don't cover their mouth when they cough. It's so rude.
Anyway on the video: This is probably my favourite song of Sigur Rós' it's so beautiful. I need to see them live D:
