if something in the movie was different to the comic, they are not 'errors' they are adaptions. Think about it, the movie is made by Marvel studios, so it is they who have the final say in regards to how the movie is finalised.

It's good that they don't copy everything from the comics, alot of it doesn't even make sense anymore, even if it did back when it was created. Plus the readaption makes it fun for fans to watch without figuring it all out too early.

No. The comic was RADICALLY different. For one thing, Obadiah Stane drove Stark into alcoholism. He also was from a rival company to Stark Industries. There were SO MANY things that got skipped from the comics. That suit was the Mk. IV (I think) that was used in the movie. And repulsors weren't the flight units, but the weapons; he had mini-turbo engines in the boots. However, despite this, the movie was still AMAZING. I loved it, despite these errors. Definitely better than most of the others.

Yeah. They are called Repulsors. Except they weren't supposed to be used for flight. He had jet engines in his boots for that. I'll admit that the repulsors were hysterical, though. (Anybody remember the 10% power? X-D)

If they adress alcoholism in the next movie, as suprememoblin says, that would be pretty cool. It was Tony's biggest flaw.

Yeah, they weren't supposed to be weapons. I think later issues used the hand repulsors as flight stabilizers, but they could never support flight alone. Oh, and he first said 10% power, then 1% where he said, "If you douse me again, I'm donating you to the (Place whose name I've forgotten)." Then he bumped it up to 2.5% and said, "And please don't follow me around. I feel like I'll catch on fire... spontaneously." XD I loved that scene SO much.
