@djmixmasterblaze Mythos should be like this, but I'm waiting for the Torchlight MMO, which is probably a ways off, but it's exactly what you'd be looking for. In the mean time, you can play through Torchlight's single-player games, Torchlight 2 will have online play and is coming out soon. Diablo III is also due out next year and with the massive community Blizzard games have, it almost is like playing an MMO.

I purchased a retail copy of this game at my local post exchange for $9.99, only to find out when I tried to install it that the servers have been shut down. When I try to return it, they say they can't take it back since I opened it, even though I explained the situation to them! What can I do about this?

If that doesn't work try everquest 2 which is free to play.

Runes of magic, allods, Aika, or vindictus are all great games.

@birdcrazy22 I'm looking forward to Mythos, but I'm even more looking forward to the Torchlight MMO. The original developers or Mythos moved on to form Runic Games after Flagship Studios shut down. We know they can deliver quality since Torchlight was fantastic not to mention they have the core Diablo developers, so I'm very excited for the MMO, but it's quite a ways off.

Though if Diablo 3 can live up to the hype... I'm not sure anything can peel me away from that.

This is a good game that sure costed a lot to make and improve and all the add ons its obvious that it wouldnt last being free. they should have charged, i think. And i think at least some people would have paid for it. Im not saying that they charge as much as much as other bigger mmos, but charge something.

And if it didnt work, at least they tried that before closing it.

Man, I didn't know DR ended months ago. I used to play 2 years ago, ign was Emarosa level 100. The community was so great that I actually played for my whole 6 month sub. A shame that it had to go.

Uh... It got shut down obviously. The game wasn't bringing in enough money and this came after NC Soft stated they were shifted their business to focus solely on big budget triple A MMOs, so it was just bad timing and bad luck.

Many Games have died over the past couple of years let's Hope Aion picks up otherwise it will be in the Bin like the rest have.

ncsoft have Failed many games and might fail Aion it's ashame to see Tabula rasa fail and even autoassault and Dungeon Runners. it wouldn't surprise me if Aion fails like the rest have it's a total disgrace i loved Tabula rasa it was fantasic very special game play only game with combat and fantasy but seems it's become Boreing the MMO market now SAME OLD SAME OLD

@skate0721 yea but theres a difference between a great game, and a game that they can make profit to keep it running. being f2p they dont make much money off it other than thoughs who paid for membership and as thoughs payments slow down they cant afford to keep the game up and running while still making a profit to make upgrades to it.
