I'm not saying that every black person should like or vote for him because he's black. I believe in judging a person by their actions, not their skin or sex.

I'm well aware of Clinton's mistakes, I believe the Bosnia one was the worst of her campaign. But she doesn't live off of the words "hope and change" like obama does. She has been in politics much longer and was with her husband for 8 yrs in the white house. To white people, no. It's never seemed offensive to a white individual to call anyone else a boy. However, it is very offensive to Black People such as myself. When whites couldn't call black people "niggers", they used other demeaning terms, including porch monkey and, when referring to grown black men, "boy".
Call us sensitive if you want, but we still experience a form of racism that y'all don't see, as women still experience sexism.

I am a man and almost every female cashier, receptionist etc over 40 years old calls me sweetie or honey. I find it offensive only because of the double standard.
Maybe she was a hot piece of ass. Any lady who is pissed probably never gets called sweetie. Or is a lesbian haha.
Men will always be men and women will always be women. Deal with it sweeties.

If the reporter was kind and younger than Sen. Obama, "sweetie" was a term of endearment, and not something to consider sexist. Remember he has two daughters and "sweetie" may be something that he says to them often... as a term of endearment.
I only get offend if folks who are younger than me call me "sweetie."

So, how is it he knew whether she was 'kind' or not? Oh, I get it - I'm a 40 year old woman out doing my job and I want to be treated the same way a man treats his children. Next time Tim Russert asks him a quesiton, I suppose he'll call him 'kiddo' because that's what my husband calls our son. In a professional setting it's not OK and the EEOC underscores it. A man who supposedly taught constitutional law should know that. It wasn't a social setting; the woman was there in her job capacity.

I'm pretty hardcore about my feminism and I agree with you! Maybe it's because I grew up in the south, where "informal terms of endearment" are used regularlly. I would've been a bit peeved if he would have been sarcastic or derisive, but he wasn't. Personally if i was that reporter i would have been more angry about him not answering the question than the sweetie thing

First of all, Hamas is a sunni militant group, who don't even have the money to run their own government, let alone build nukes. Also, they're not linked to Iran, because Iran doesn't fund Sunni groups because Iran is a shia nation, who also has experienced many sunni militia attacks recently. They have also abandoned attempts to build nuclear weapons in 2003, as declared by our own intelligence agencies in the NIE 4th Quarter of 2007.

My choice:
Hillary >> Obama >> McCain
I am a foreigner from East Asia. Though I can not vote, but in my country, many of the people are in favor of Hillary. As I watched many of the debates between the two candidates, and reexamined the two Democratic candidates background, I sincerely feel that Hillary is the best one for America.
As an outsider, I would like to see America to be the first country with a women as its president.
Also, Hillary is a very good image to represent the US.
