  • @saltyyylemonade yes u can

  • @lifeisajoke66 not washing your clothes could help!

  • @lifeisajoke66

I think just turn it inside out if you are concerned it will help it stay better probably anyway... just like printed stuff on shirts, turn it inside out and it looks better longer.

  • isn`t that spray paint toxic?

  • Dude !

    This Is Awesome (:

  • how are you supposed to wash tie dyed shirts??

  • @DinoShapedPancakez in the washing machine

  • Eccellent! And so quick and easy! LOVE it!

  • is there something we can use to keep the paint in the shirt?

  • @skateratz999 nope

  • soo cool

  • dude .. SO NICE :D.. btw wath kind of paint should i use ?

  • KICKASS

  • what kinda spray paint can be used?

  • @DarkArgent101 any kind of spray, sometimes i spraypaint my tshirts with stencils (and with the usual graffiti cans), BUT you have to be careful, because the colour can be TOO thick, and then you're tshirt gets hard&unflexible (you can still wear it, but its some kind of strange^^)...

hope this could help, have a nice day ^^

  • Thats awesome, but is there any way to get this style using actual dye for a more permanent effect?

  • @KaylaRose432 yeah just theres a tie-dye kit at walmarts that i got and it has 5 colors and its like 20 to 25 dollars and you do the same thing twist it and then take the dye and pour it where ever you want color

  • @LeannaFelicia

    great :) thanks

  • I've tried this technique with a lot of different colors and a lot of different shirts and it's my favorite how-to from threadbanger!

  • awesome,thanks :)

To bad but i'm going to try it soon love so mush!! <3

    Rock you guys!

  • That paint is too STIFF you get a bad result --try using FABRIC PAINT it is soft, it will not crack and chip off when you wash it. Leave that paint at the hardware store, it is for wood and metal.

  • This paint is too stiff it cracks & chips off when you wash it. Try using FABRIC PAINT it is made for fabric. It is soft & washable, please get some. Stop using the Hardware store spray paint for wood & metal.

  • cool enough design but the words punk rock and tie dye should never be used together, as a matter of fact I even threw up a little just typing this

  • i do this with lots of my shirts and yes it does fade away over time

  • @bobo105012 doesn't it make the shirt all hard and crusty? lawl

  • meh, not too much it really depends how much you put on, i always go light cause you can always put more on later if you want

  • hahaha that's some pretty simple tie dying.

  • wait...won't the spray paint make the t-shirt hard and stiff??

  • I get the idea, the shirt he did looks cameoflauge ( id think I spelled that right...)

  • is it just plain spray paint?

  • the shirt matches the maker then xD

  • you're gay material

  • thats cool but it only looks good the first time he sprayed it

  • I saw you using spray paint, how well does that last through the washer?

  • wat kind of spray paint do we need?

  • k this is cool..but how do i make sure this doesn't come out on my skin or worse, my other clothes? does it set in really well?

thanks for the vid, i loveeee tie dye.

  • that's pretty neat. never thought of putting the spirals in diff places.

  • i think thats cool. that doesnt look punk rock!

  • Thanks ThreadBanger i did a purple on white looks sweet.

  • I want to try this, but that is not toxic or something?

  • bahah that girl does look like the girl off ned's declassified

  • COMO SE LLAMA LA PINTURA DE SPRAY

  • That would be so sweet if it had more and brighter colours.

  • u can wash this,or u can get fabric spray

  • woah shoot thats sweet

  • omfg homemade realtree XD

  • i will like ti try but can u wash that?

  • does that chick kinda look like the other chick off of neds declasifyed school survival guide ? or whatever

  • haha i thought that too

  • haha thats really funny

  • can u wash that

  • thank you

  • you could use normal tie-dye dye in a fine mist spray bottle instead of spray paint :-)

  • thats aweosme

  • What spray paint is used? And like mentioned, wouldnt it come out in the washing machine?

  • hey pretty awesome =]

  • Cool! :D

  • That was o cool i wanna try it but i dont have any spray paint :( Boohoo

  • hey is that just spray paint???

it looks so cool but does it not wreck ur wash ing machine???

  • to make it cute you can do spiral and use colors like aqua and the spiral it the opposite way and use lime green and the a hot pink fabric paint to write stuff on it... i wrote "ninja squad" on mine for a halloween party. yes, we were tie dye ninjas.

  • I did that but when you twist it into a spiral, i added 4 coloured dyes to it and it came out mega rainbowy.

It really works and it's awesome!

  • did you use spray paint or fabric paint?

  • they used spray

  • I used fabic tye-dye. It came in the primary colours and i mixed them in tubes so it was easy to apply :)

  • you can do this same thing with rit dye instead of spray paint :D

  • You look like Adrien Brody!

  • dude, that's sick!

but won't the spray wash off eventually?

  • I'm def trying that.

  • so you can use spray paint instead of dye? and it wont wash off??! sick!!

  • a good idea is to put your spray paint in warm to hot water and let it sit for about 20 min. it will spray more even and the paint should flow from your can better

  • can yall do like a heart or some patteren in the middle

  • so cool......0_0

  • Question For any Threadheads or DIYers: is it true that the spray paint fades over time and probably isnt great for your washing machine? Any special ways to wash it too?

    Thanks,

    -Juliee.

  • I have used spray paint before, and you need to make sure it sprays even. My shirts aren't that faded, but they do not look like they were spray painted. The paint just has settled in and I love the way they look! It takes a few washes for the paint to become smooth, like I said, make sure it sprays evenly and shake up your paint very good before using it on fabric.

  • I've made a bunch and the only thing that happens is the outer paint, the bits that got stuck to the down on the t-shirt, faded away. And the rest stayed on there permanently. It really is just a spray paint t-shirt so don't be too picky! lol

  • The best desing

  • take a black shirt, twist it like he said and then dip half it in bleach!

only leave it in for like10 seconds and rince the bleach out now you got a tie dye without using dye!

  • hahahaha! im gonna try that lol thnx

  • @JacSPierce would it become black and tan?

  • @JacSPierce bones skate wheels did a video of that

  • @JacSPierce ive done something like that with jeans before and a pair of black converse chuck taylors.

  • i think it will be tough or hard because it goes on the shirt not in the fabric like the Dye does

  • i did this today (:

  • nice

  • thats tthe shit!!

  • that looks nice

  • i mean doesn't XD

  • it's awesome but is there something you can do so the paint does wash off?

  • wont the paint wash off in the wash?

  • it while fade, but wont wash off completely

  • No, not spray paint. Accidentally got some on my jeans when I was spray painting a vintage piece of furniture before reupholstering it. I know have an electric blue blotch on my jeans. XD

  • it fades a bit over time, but ir doesnt wash out. ive done 3 of these.

  • Could you then use normal fabric dye to cover up the rest of the white if you don't like the white so much?

  • well u could continue to spiral till no white left :P

  • is it paint or what??

  • will it wash off though? It will smell gross too.

  • hhhhomg inicneincieienie

  • nice

  • well now the shirts gunna smell like shit?

  • and that's why we wash our clothes kids.

  • This looked good with just green.

  • oh em jee! :D

  • Woahh

  • i can see the real retard is you.

  • How do you Wash the shirt? wont the spray paint run?

  • If you hand wash it a couple times, some will come out. But after that it actually stays pretty well!

  • man, after I saw this video, my friends and I went out and bought a bunch of tshirts and spray paint and made about 8 shirts. It was awesome!!! its not stiff after you was it, and we used regular spray paint. My only advice, go heavier on the paint that you think you should because some of it does wash off. other than that this is a brilliant idea! THANK YOU xoxo

  • this is so down.... I'm gonna try it

  • that is soo rad, i just made one then. looks awsome
