The balance of the scales doesn't serve their purpose to kill because he's not really doing anything. He's not running for president, he's talking very passively, and really, the movement is the issue, not Paul. Therefore he is safe. If they try to threaten by hurting him, people will awake too fast.

I was watching FOX news earlier and when I heard that their were Congressman on that flight I immediatly thought of Ron Paul being on there, it was too reminiscent of what happened to Senator Wellstone.
