Did anyone actually watch the whole set before commenting ???? Daigo ended up taking this set 7-3 if i remember correctly...just type " Gipie vs Gameinn " and watch all ten matches to see how strong daigo really is as a ryu player...and yes we all know ryu is boring. I hate el fuerte but respect to anyone who masters him...everything is not as easy as it seems.
To to all that say El fuerte and vega are Cheap, and people who use them have no balls.
All I can say is you must suck because there are way more OP characters with some really broken stuff, Fuerte and vega are a guessing game you guess wrong you get owned that simple.

Ryu seems to have a really bad disadvantage to the fast characters. It seems the worst matchups are Cammy and El Fuerte. Good gracious, I've never seen such a one sided curb stomp battle except with those two characters. -_-;

@fcampelo24 Why do people think so negatively on "spamming"? Mashing is really the most basic of all option selects - if they mess up their combo the reversal comes out, if not you keep blocking. There are situations when it is actually appropriate.
@UserX03 Cuse it's not a good thing to use specially if your opponent knows you well (not saying it's the case in here). It's not a good option select imo because your opponent can use it against you. For instance he can stop a blocking combo right in the middle of it, waiting for you shoryuken spam comes to rape you after.

I'm not into the SSF4 online thingy, but this El Fuerte mindplay was really awesome. The Beast was tamed in this match, haters gonna hate but that's it. And period.
Inducing the opponent to jump and doing an Ultra which can't hit opponent on ground. That's not cheap, that's skill.
Here Daigo is the beast....over there he is one of the beasts. BTW to Elf haters I believe Capcom is nerfing Ultra 2 so you might be getting your wish....back to doing shit damage again amongst other things.

Damn.. those ultras do a lot of damage. Well, maybe Daigo isn't used to fighting "one of the best" El Fuerte? I've seen other matches when they played in Taiwan or Japan. GiPie lost. Who knows. This is only an online match. Maybe they don't take it as seriously. This GiPie is still darn fun to watch though.
@OkaGantZ According to last months and July's Japanese tier listings on event hub Ryu was No. 07(A Rank) compared to Fuerte No. 25(C Rank) so no he isn't mid tier
The only real way to know a Character strengh is asking someone that mains them, not tier lists. You probally would not agree whit me but Ryu is just mid.

Gipie has now become a respectable Fuerte player (also my main) just like Kai and TKD...there arent many Fuerte players out there so give it up for the Mexican Luchador!!! :)
@femtau Funny you said that cuz I didnt see Gipie do a single ultra on Gamerbee...and the amount of health that Daigo had left when both ultras were done was a quarter or so of the entire lifebar...so ultra being overpowered had nothing to do with him winning.

Damn.. those ultras do a lot of damage. Well, maybe Daigo isn't used to fighting "one of the best" El Fuerte? I've seen other matches when they played in Taiwan or Japan. GiPie lost. Who knows. This is only an online match. Maybe they don't take it as seriously. This GiPie is still darn fun to watch though.

@OkaGantZ According to last months and July's Japanese tier listings on event hub Ryu was No. 07(A Rank) compared to Fuerte No. 25(C Rank) so no he isn't mid tier

The only real way to know a Character strengh is asking someone that mains them, not tier lists. You probally would not agree whit me but Ryu is just mid.

Gipie has now become a respectable Fuerte player (also my main) just like Kai and TKD...there arent many Fuerte players out there so give it up for the Mexican Luchador!!! :)

@femtau Funny you said that cuz I didnt see Gipie do a single ultra on Gamerbee...and the amount of health that Daigo had left when both ultras were done was a quarter or so of the entire lifebar...so ultra being overpowered had nothing to do with him winning.
